I think that nobody could imagine how good Ali was going to be. Yes he looked a fast skinny boy with natural ability and strong personality but he became the best heavyweight ever and i think that nobody expected it. He was trying to make predictions about an unorthodox, and still relatively unproven fighter.

I think there were viewed as A+ prospects. Foreman won the gold medal at the Olympics on his 25th amateur fight. Frazier was a the sub for the Olympics, but light up Tokyo in route to gold, though he was floored doing isn early match. By the way if anyone has the Frazier Olympic matches, I'd like to see them. The footage I've seen is impressive.
