it was fairly even, reflected in the split decision. Quality and gassing lungs vs quantity, poorer boxing but prime lungs.

Obviously theres no doubt Hopkins would have continued outboxing past round 7 had he been fitter. But joe knew this, that's why he was miraculously cured of his fear of flying when the American bests got old.

    Low points:

Getting schooled by Glass Jaw Roy Jones
    Quitting against Dawson
Spoiling the Calzaghe fight with Illegal tactics that ruined what should have been an exciting fight
Getting knocked out of the ring by a handpicked bum Dan Rafael picked out
Losing every second of every round against Kovalev

    High points:

    Beating Trinidad
    Beating Pavlik
    Beating Tarver
Getting revenge on Glass Jaw Roy (even though it was an awful fight)
    His longevity

Didn't include the Oscar fight because it was a circus type fight. Not a credible fight

High point beating Tarver. School was in session. Low point disputed decisions against Taylor and Lacy-fights i didn't think that he lost.

    Prime Roy wasn't glass jawed.
I give him a pass against Dawson, if you slam an old man, he may get hurt.
His health issues spoiled the Calzaghe fight. What should have been a stoppage in the second half of the fight or a wide decision for Hopkins, turned into a question of whether Hopkins would collapse from asphixiation due to a cardio issue.
I agree, getting TKO'd out of the ring, head first like that by a guy who wouldn't have been able to even hit him much two years ago was kind of embarrassing, and kinda funny.

Eastman, Allen x 3, Hakkar, Holmes, Vanderpool and both fights with Taylor weren't much fun for me to watch. Even the first fight with RJJ ended up being a bore. That's ten of his fights at 160 that I found to be awful to watch.

If you are not a fan of the sweet science, you'd find anything a bore that wasn't an unskilled face first brawl. I'm not saying they were barn burners but if you are a fan of good boxing, Allen I, II, Taylor II, Jones Jr, etc. were not boring fights. People like you claim Donaire vs Rigondeaux was boring.

getting buttfrigged by zaggers in crystal clear HD infront of a global audience of millions was a low point and high point for hopkins.
