Fury's win by an absolute mile, no contest.

In fact in the AJ Vs Wlad fight I was more impressed with Wlads ability to fight on the inside and slug it out than I was with Joshua.

Joshua for sure. He showed us all kinds of things including power and heart and even a bit of dirty pro style business in spitting out the mouthpiece to buy time. Yeah, Wlad was older but that was more than made up for by the focus he displayed in contrast to the Fury fight.

The Fury fight was a non-fight. They threw a minimal amount of punches and the action was non-existent. Wlad was there in body but his head was full of butterflies. All the domestic BS with Panettiere and the associated drama had clearly affected him. Even then when he finally got his act together in the 12th he showed that he could pressure Fury and land clean shots on him. If Fury had rematched as promised, we'd have a clearer picture of where the fighters stood relative to each other.

AJ had the more exciting fight.

Fury had ten times the better performance.

Anyone saying otherwise is a r.etard.

Fury for me.AJ's fight was great to watch though. But Fury was at his fittest and is very elusive for such a big man.
He used his best attributes to win,and made an easy nights work of it..He would of been stupid to got and try and slug it out with Wlad..
AJ on the other hand, dosen't have the ability or the engine to fight like Fury did.He had to use what he has which is strength, aggression and power, which made for an good fight because it meant that Wlad would have a fighter in front of him,to be hit.
Both good wins in different ways.

The Fury fight was antiboxing while the Joshua fight was what Heavyweight boxing is all about.

Fury shimmied and flim-flammed his way round the outskirts of the canvass flicking out out arm punches, shocking and feigning. It was perhaps the second worst heavyweight fight I’ve ever seen, slightly behind Henry Akinwandes performance vs Lennox Lewis.

Let’s be honest, even before the Klitschko fight, Tyson Fury never looked world class in any of his previous fights.

    He’s the king of anti-boxing!

The phrase "there is more than one way to skin a cat" is perfect for this thread.

Fury knows he doesn't possess massive knockout power, Joshua relies upon his. So comparing the two wins is not comparing like for like.

Fury knows he has to out point Wlad: Joshua knows he has to knock him out.

So on that, both did their jobs, so its basically a decision on what style you like the most.

If you like a pure boxing style of hit and don't get hit, head movement, footwork and a good defense, pick Fury.

If you like a more basic (meant in the nicest way) hit as hard as you can to knockout style, then you pick Joshua.

Based on this, Fury's plan went 90% the way he wanted, Joshua found it harder, and only 60%, so for me, Fury stuck to his game plan better, and found it much easier, so I think the Fury win was better.

With all the experience Wlad was ranting on about having before the bout , he never put in a body attack even when knowing that Joshua had previously shown stamina issues.
It was the young inexperienced Joshua that had the foresight and ability to attack the body of Wlad early which paid off for him in the later rounds.
I never witnessed Wlad "slugging it out " on the inside against Joshua. Even when AJ was slumped up against the ropes gassed out , Wlad still kept his distance and was reluctant to get close.
The right hand , left hook , uppercut combo that fell Wlad like a tree in the 11th was one of the highlight of AJs inside work throughout the fight.

Yeah but you rate Wlad much higher than I do. I expected AJ to smash him inside the first 3 rounds.

I was amazed when Wlad survived the KO and scored one himself. I never thought him capable especially at age 40.

Yeah true , i thought Wlad would win the fight given his experience and the fact it was way too soon for Joshua.

I was shocked at how green Joshua exceeded Wlad in veteran area's such as ring IQ , tactical awareness and survival instincts. It made me wonder if Wlad was ever good in those area's to begin with. Hmmm.

Aye different strokes for different folks, everyone will rate people different in a sport as subjective as boxing.

I like to keep it polite though so you won't catch me adding to the usual vitriol of this cesspit by calling you a wladtard or a klittard, instead I will respect your high ranking of Wlad and appreciate the fact we both got to watch a good fight.

    Equally impressive imo.

Fury took less damage but both he and Wlad fought kinda scared imo. Fury showed better defence than Joshua

Joshua took more damage but also did more damage (better offence) and showed more heart.
