How slick Chambers looked with the weight off or how entirely bad Dimitrenko looked in this fight? It's hard for me to gauge how well Chambers actually boxed in this performance because something was most definitely off with Dimitrenko. Lets hope that Chambers keeps himself in this sort of shape though, has he was able to stay busy through the entire fight, I still think unless he drops to CW, he's going to have a hell of a time against the SHWs. This isn't the era where short 210lb fighters like Joe Frazier can excel in anymore.
I was greatly surprised by both. I said in the lead up to this fight that I was not at all sold on Chambers. Well, now I am - IF he comes in in this kind of condition. Dimitrenko, imo, was beyond pathetic and should look for a new line of work. He has the heart the size of a pea. For crying out loud, he turned his back on Chambers from a shot to his side - and I might add, Chambers showed great class in not trying to get a cheap shot in.
I was disappointed that Chambers did not go after him when he turned his back. It showed a great lack of instinct on his [Chambers] part. There are no "cheap shots" in boxing... "protect yourself at all times". If the ref or bell isn't halting you, punch away!
Eddie Chambers...I didn't think Dimitrenko looked as bad as people think he did (he would be competitive and might beat the ruslan chagaevs, nikolay valuev, and john ruizs of the world). Chambers reflexes, timing, precision, and strength was remarkable. That said, he has almost no chance at beating one of the klitschkos...His style matches up very poorly.
I was more surprised by Dmitrienko. Having watched him before and thought him somewhat credible, tonight's performance was a huge disappointment. I knew Chambers had skill and slickness. Eddie looked great at the lighter weight and all props to him.
