Who were you picking going into the fight?
Did you think Mosley was gonna pull it off coming from 135
Did you think oscar was gonna redeem himself from the trinidad loss?

    Your thoughts

I couldn't wait for it personally and thought Mosley was a genuine chance but I was leaning towards De La Hoya to win. I didn't think Mosley would have too much trouble making the jump to 147 as he was always a big lightweight and I thought as long as he kept most of his speed then he was a real live underdog. Turns out Shane kept his speed, was just as powerful and had a style that troubled Oscar no end.

In saying that it was a terrific, high quality fight and one of my favourites from an aesthetic standpoint. As good as Mosley was that night, Oscar wasn't far behind either and it was everything a real super fight should be- close, competitive, action packed and entertaining.

It was good fight. Me personally I felt Oscar looked a lil too stiff in the fight. Like almost too focused if that makes sense.

Yeah he was certainly stiff in the beginning. Mosley won the first round wide which would've given him a real confidence boost. Until that point it was probably the first time Oscar met someone who was faster and more mobile than him and he did take a while for him to settle into a rhythm. That said Oscar got his jab working and the fight was very even going into the championship rounds but Shane swept most of those and particularly the 12th.

I felt strongly that Mosley had a good chance in that fight. Oscar was starting to really live the good life. He was making almost 10 times what the other fighters in his division were getting, and his training didn't seem to be as intense. It cost him against Trinidad (in a fight he clearly could have won if in better condition), and did again against Mosley. Quite frankly, this pattern was never reversed and cost him the win against Mayweather, as well. It is tough to get back that hunger sometimes when you make as much as Oscar did.

I felt DLH was cherry picking a smaller guy coming up in weight two divisions and using their amateur back story to inflate it. I was hoping Mosley would beat him and was pretty glad he did. It made it sweeter to see DLH with his fake smile trying to argue that he won when he clearly lost.

1 ) My pick was Mosley

2 ) Mosley to me had a power edge so I was not concerned about him moving up. Oscar started out at lightweight too, didn't he?

    3 ) No.

Some thoughts: Oscar bitched about the loss, and it was his own fault by running and not committing enough on his punches. Looking back you have to wonder if Mosley and his BALCO LABS connection was on designer PED's.
