What were your thoughts going into Leonard-Camacho

I thought that Leonard was going to get his butt whupped and at the time I'm glad he did. I wasn't a SRL fan back in the 80's and 90's although I scored the fight against Hagler in his favor. I was pissed that he got a draw in the second Hearns fight, which I believe he clearly lost.

 

I thought what a fricking joke.

 

I never thought in that these two were ever fight. Had Leonard been anywhere near his form he probably wins a decision. Camacho stopping Leonard was the last thing I expected. Hector never stopped anyone.

 

I was tired of him showing off his abs and laughed like a hyena when he got ktfo.

 

It's that puffy gut while still having a 6pack. Vinny had that big time later in his career

 

Yeah, the distended stomach is another tell-tale symptom of certain kinds of PED use.

I don't really blame Pazienza for juicing (Pretty sure he's admitting this in post fight interviews.) I'm pretty sure the guy did it to rehab from his accident initially. What other options do you have if you want to continue fighting, unless you have a miraculous Willie Pep like recovery...

 

He had little man's syndrome and wanted to climb the ranks. God, I disliked that f%cker.

I don't generally dislike too many boxers but Pazienza was one of them. Haugen beat him 2x IMO only the roided up version managed to get the better of Greg.

 

Its a little difficult to buy that when u think of how a 45 year old duran beat camacho ,emerged without a mark on his face only months earlier.....camacho was also fat on fight night at 160...the fact he than moved down to 147 for odlh says something

 

No Leonard was WAY shot. He was almost falling down when he wasn't even being hit.
I remember watching Don't Curry vs Linton and the bell rang to start the bout and Curry could hardly move without stumbling.

 

Most thought Ray would beat a light hitting, hard partying Camacho .. it was a set up to a huge De La Hoya fight for Ray .. like Haugan did to Mancini, Camacho ended the show ..
