    Let's assume AJ loses.

So in the spring we'd have Fury vs Usyk, and probably Wilder vs Ruiz.

Fall 2023 we'd likely either have a Fury vs Usyk rematch, or else the winner of the first Fury vs Usyk fight may take on the winner of Wilder vs Ruiz, probably depending on who those winners are. If Fury and Usyk do rematch, then AJ remains out of the picture until 2024.

If there wasn't a Fury vs Usyk rematch and if Fury won their first fight and Wilder beats Ruiz, would Fury waste his time on a 4th Wilder fight? Probably not. Would Fury waste his time on a 2nd AJ fight? Probably not, given how rich he'd be and the fact that he would have already beaten the other 3 big names in the division. There'd be nothing left for him to prove. Fury may actually retire for the 37th time and actually stay retired. With a Fury win over Usyk leading to a Fury retirement, this may be the only scenario in which AJ can get back into the conversation in 2023.

Now what if Usyk defeats Fury in their first match? I would guess a rematch would be even more likely. Given how much crap Fury likes to spew out of his mouth, I don't see him retiring a loser. So AJ is again out of the conversation until 2024.

He will buried under a mountain of rasperries. Career burst definitely. I hope no need of rematch. Point of no return for Bodybuilder, if he lost bad he would be considered a B level fighter as Bruno, or Peters, or Maskaev, or Rahman who held the title without having remarkable skills or worse a journeyman. Better for him if he fights until death with Fury risking for example the break of the jaw as happened to Ali with Norton rather than protect too much the wafer chin lacking of aggressiveness and power punching, their real points of force.

If he tries to rebuild, he could fight Whyte in June and then Hrgovic for the IBF World Title at the end of 2023.

He can do whatever he wants to.
He still will be able to make a lot of money.
He still is and will be able to beat a lot of guys @TOP10 and 20.
And he's 32 so he still have time.
He could rest a whole year, come back and still have some good fights.
    He still will be entertaining.

When Fury loses, odds are he goes on a year or so coke, alcohol, and whatever else he can get his hands on binge.

He might not win the fight but having been a Olympic champ a pro world heavyweight champ, made a absolute fortune and still has the grey cells and physical health he entered the sport with, I say that is being a winner not a loser.
