Now that Wilder has lost will he throw him under the bus and look for a new star?

What will Al Haymon do next? Probably find a young hot chick of his type in Vegas.

To answer your question more seriously, I reckon Haymon will evaluate whether it makes more sense to go for the biggest financial return in the short-term, namely Fury Wilder 3, or if he feels he will be best served to play the longer game.

Given Wilder's age and how difficult it will be for him to get back into the heavyweight picture without any titles, I see the only option for Haymon being to pursue the rematch.

I would assume if Fury Wilder 3 goes ahead, Wilder will be entitled to a very substantial percentage. Also, if Wilder exercises the rematch clause and Fury then vacates the WBC belt or retires, I am assuming that Wilder will get some of Fury's purse from Wilder Fury 2 which will likely have been held back to cover that eventuality. If Wilder did not exercise the rematch clause he would not then get any remuneration if Fury then vacates the WBC belt or retires.
