I doubt they're going to use all 100K+ seats and I hope they don't use the upper levels since the audience from there are just gonna end up watching the fight on those gigantic screens.

60,000 is my guess, which is a huge crowd.

The NBA All Star game last night brought 108,713 to Cowboys Stadium.

Pacquiao vs. Clottey might bring 10-20% of that at best. Dead serious.

i thought 35k, either way why not open the whole thing up, sell the upper deck seats for 20 a pop, id pay that to watch the fight on the largest HD screen in the world

I think for football games, 100,000 is only for playoff games. 80,000 is for regular season games.

Sounds about right. With one month to go 30,000 reportedly has been sold.

    :conf Maybe.

Honestly I'm not following this too closely. Have they even started a 24/7 for it? I like both fighters but for some reason just don't much care about or have too much excitement for this fight.

Clottey doesn't have any more mainstream recognition than, say, David Diaz - so there's no reason to expect a much bigger gate or more buys than however many the Diaz fight netted. Of course Pac's profile has steadily raised since then, but that's kind of canceled out by how jaded most casual fans were at the dissolution of the Mayweather match. A lot of those who would've sprung for that one or even made the trip out to see it might skip this one just out of spite.

Diaz fight did something like 10k gate (just guessing here) and sold less then 250k PPV buys.

They already sold more then 30k tickets and PPV will have solid numbers.

I am so sick of the Floyd-Pac scandal, its managed to ruin every boxing forum. I'm just glad that both are taking part in fights that I look forward to watching.
