What will be the result of Cotto-Margarito "The Battle"?

    Hey everyone, I wanted to create a poll of what boxing fans think will be the result of the Cotto-Margarito bout on July 26th. Feel free to leave comments after voting in the poll.

    Margo by late Ko this guy has been waiting for this kind of fight with a superstar for YEAR'S and finally he get's it and will do what ever it take's to win.

    Analysis
    I expect Margo to be putting the pressure on Cotto and trying to land with those looping hooks he throws while Cotto will be back peddling, but landing with accurate counter-punches.. Cotto will also fight on the inside some, hitting and wearing down Margo with body shots, but Margo could always land one of those uppercuts that could send Cotto into retreat.. But if Cotto does get hurt, his amazing recovery will come into play, and he will defend himself instead of jumping on a bicycle.. Cotto will fight smart and will demonstrate his skills and footwork against a come forward Margo..

    Right now I leaning towards Cotto. I think that Margarito may lose most of the early rounds against Cotto and will be forced to play cacthup.

    It's great that people are posting and voting in the poll. As of 11:31PM EDT on June 15, 16 people have voted and overall, people see Cotto winning the fight 11-5. I also see that people who favor Cotto see him winning either by decision or KO, with the former being selected slightly more. However, Margarito fans see a KO. I guess this can be seen as Margarito as the aggresso and the one being power and the brawl to Cotto whereas Cotto needs to be a boxer and fight smart in order to prevail. Interesting initial voting pattern thus far. Keep the thoughts and votes coming in. We have more than a month away for the battle to gain welterweight supremacy.

    We can only make a wild guess. Who knows what will happen? These two are vey much capable of knocking each other out at any point during the fight.

    Will not bet on that fight, but I will not be surprised if Margarito knocks Cotto out.

    Cotto by late TKO. The fight is stopped on cuts (I wouldn't rule out a bodyshot KO).

    Hate to say it, but you'll be in for a rude awakening, because you'll be jumping onto a sinking ship while the one you jumped from will be ruling the sea we call the WW division.. :thumbsup

    I Think Cotto will take a decision, He is on a steady march to Greatness and every time i see him i see improvement's. Two or three fight's time Cotto will be p4p no 1.

    I think Margarito has a good chance of taking out Cotto, but believe that Cotto has enough skill and power to get through it with a UD or late KO

    Hey guys. It's still great that we have votes and comments coming in. As of 9:27 AM EDT, we have overall 31-12 votes for Cotto over Margarito. More specifically, those who like Margarito like him unanimously to win by knockout whereas Cotto supporters are divided 17-14 on whether he will win by KO or points decision. In any event, the votes thus far reveal that Cotto can win this bout in more ways than one and that Margarito can only win if he knocks out Cotto. This is an interesting view thus far. Anyways, keep the votes and comments coming in...
