What will be the result of Cotto-Margarito "The Battle"?

    The nightly update for July 10th reveals that there are 191 votes cast. The tally is 145-46 in favor of Cotto winning the bout. The pattern still holds constant as Cotto fans see Miguel winning by decision over KO slightly, 74-71. On the other hand, Margarito fans see Tony winning overwhelmingly by KO 44-2. Again, keep the votes and posts coming as we are now only 16 days from the main event.

    The morning update for July 11th at 9:35 AM EDT reveals 192 votes being cast. By tally of 146-46, Cotto is expected to win and retain his WBA title. The pattern is still somewhat consistent. Cotto supporters are almost evenly divided on how he will win. By a margin of 74-72, they slightly favor a decision victory. With Margarito fans they believe by a margin of 44-2, he will win by KO as opposed to a decision. Again, let us keep the votes and thoughts coming on this potential FOTY candidate.

    The nightly update for July 13th at 8:46 PM EDT reveals 194 votes have been cast. By a tally of 148-46, Cotto is expected to win and retain his WBA welterweight title over Margarito. Cotto is slightly favored to win via decision as opposed to KO 76-72. Margarito is expected to the KO as opposed a decision if he wins 44-2. Again, keep the votes and thoughts coming on this welterweight superfight as we are now only 13 days from the main event.

    The nightly update for July 14th at 11:28 PM EDT reveals that 196 votes have been casted. By a tally of 150-46, Cotto is expected to win and retain his WBA title. Cotto is favored slightly to win via decision over KO victory 76-74. Margarito is overwhelmingly to get the KO over decision if he wins the fight 44-2. Again, keep the thoughts and votes coming on this welterweight showdown as we are now only 12 days away from the main event.

    Margarito by ko......So difficult to pick a winner in this one.
    I think Cotto is an exceptional fighter, and i can easily envisage a win for him. But i've just got a feeling that Margarito is going to hurt Cotto at some point with uppercuts, and when he has him hurt, i think he'll be
    able to finish him!.......This one could so easily go the other way though, and I wouldn't bet a single penny on it

    The nightly update for July 18th reveals that there are 203 votes cast. By a tally 156-47, Cotto is expected to win the welterweight showdown against Antonio Margarito. Voting patterns remain the same as Cotto is slightly favored to win via decision as opposed to via KO 79-77. Voters for Margarito overwhelmingly see a KO win for their man as opposed to a victory on points 45-2. Again, keep the votes and thougts coming on this fight as we are now only 8 days away from the main event.

Voting patterns have held consistent as Cotto is narroly expected to win on points as opposed to KO/TKO 81-78. Margarito is expected overwhelmingly to win via KO/TKO vs. decision 48-2.     I'll take the determined Margarito by late round KO. Its gonna be explosive from the start because Margarito said he aint starting slow anymore and why would he in the biggest fight of his career? Gonna be a great fight.
