So if Cotto outboxes Margo it will mean that he ran like a coward :rofl this is classic  please tell me you saw Cotto run away........Let me guess he ran from Mosely right  counter punching and jabbing him make him reach in a desperate attempt to gain moment and points with the judges. I'm in awe of you, total awe I can't believe people like you still exist.

Brawling without regard for defense will only help Margo why would Cotto opt to focus on brawling with Margo when he break him down with his skills. I don't understand your pattern of though how is it advantageous for Cotto to brawl.....trust me he will make the fight quite entertaining. The fact that you even think of a boxing champ as a coward only shows your grade.

Im with you man since when did counter-punching and outboxing your opponent and embarassing him become running or getting on your bicycle? Also everyone thinks Margo has one punch KO. he doesnt. He breaks them down. Besides Margo has two left feet. Cotto does have to worry about Margos nastyass uppercuts. If Cotto can nullify that, hes got this fight in the bag.

Margarito by ko within 10 rounds,i can't wait till this fight is over, because i'm sick of hearing cotto is gonna outclass margarito, nobody has outclassed margarito, not clottey or williams.Williams had to throw over 100 punches a round and the fight was still close, cotto is not a better boxer than clottey or williams, cotto is good, but he showed me in the mosley fight that he couldn't keep up a fast in the later rounds, because he ran from mosley.Everybody talking about cotto's left hook to the body,u all gotta remember margarito bangs to the body with both hands, margarito's uppercut's and bodyshot's will end cotto's undefeated record and ruin him for life.

The nightly update for June 26th at 8:09 PM EDT reveals numerous new posts that give interesting insights in how the welterweight title fight and showdown may transpire. As for voting, 144 votes have been cast. The current tally is 109-35 that Cotto will retain his title. Voting patterns are consistent as Cotto is favored to win via decision with 58 votes whereas the remaining (51) see him KOing his challenger. All Margarito votes continue to see him winning by KO. Keep the votes and comments challenging. Good input today, ESB.

all that poll means is that there are a bunch of cotto fans on this site. it won't mean **** when these guys meet. i have a feeling the cotto fans are going to be looking real sad afterwards. the only way cotto has a prayer of winning this fight is if he boxes, and i don't think he's going to box much, esp. when margo is right on top of him. margo is going to try to force cotto to brawl with him, and if he does, margo wins this easliy. people seem to forget cotto was fighting at 140 not long ago, and margo is a jr. middleweight fighting at welterweight. he's going to be stronger than anyone cotto has ever fought.

Alrighty, I see a little tension here. Remember guys, I want your thoughts and opinions but do not insult others. Respect others and cheer for why your guy will win. Constructly critique the other guy but do so without trying to draw ire to your comments.

One other thing, some of you say that this site is full of Cotto fans and that this is reflected in the poll. I cannot say that is totally true or false but there may be those who are neutral and actually see it in his favor. This is why it is a poll: if you feel strongly for one or see it objectively for one, vote for that person and how it will occur. Hope this keeps the thread open and civil.

Is there a Cotto fan in here (other than Caper, who's reasoning is sound) that can provide a more cogent analysis than: COTTO BY MURDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :D I would like to:D

Cotto isnt just a brawler who comes forward, he is a very smart boxer/puncher who can fight either coming forward or going back. Many people have overlooked Cotto as just a brawler but they were being ignorant about Cotto's early fights.

I think Margo will be to wide open as he is coming forward and his pressure isnt educated it's very wild. I can see Cott being the counter puncher, boxing for the most part and standing his ground only when he needs to. Cotto will weaken Margo with his short, powerful and most important accurate shots, bust him up and i can see the ref stopping it due to faial damage or Margo isnt punching back.

I see where you're coming from, I also think Cotto is the superior boxer. However, the above scenario would be a first for Margo. I don't think he's ever been down (though I could be wrong), and the one major cut he's had was from a head butt. Based on his history the idea of Margo getting stopped seems unlikely. In my mind the fight depends on how Cotto's chin and stamina hold-up under Margarito's pressure.

Got to agree with you. I dont think Cotto will ko him or even knock him down. I just have a feeling that Margo's type of pressure will leave alot of openings for Cotto to capitalise.

But as you say will Cotto be able to keep up with Margo's pressure? Antonio is the naturally much larger man. To be honest this is one fight i have been excited about before the fight was even announced.
