Like they always say, we shall see. But if the fight goes to some of the prediction that others have made on this thread that Cotto or Margarito beats down the other and gets him KTFO, there may not be a rematch...

True. Well stated. The people who think Cotto can't win this would be very impressed if he did.

    Won't happen, sadly.

Margarito by late KO. I think Margarito is just as tough as Cotto and will use his uppercuts to good effect throughout the fight. Cotto may survive the distance if he gets on his bike and uses the jab.

Sorry for not updating as I have been working through the roof. Anyways, the nightly update for the Fourth of July reveals that 179 votes have been cast. The tally is 134-45 in favor of a Cotto victory. Again, voting patterns remain the same as Cotto fans slightly favor a decision victory as opposed to a KO victory 72-62. As for Margarito supporters, they overwhelmingly see a KO victory 43-2. Keep the posts and votes coming on this important welterweight showdown as there are only 22 days left until the main event.

Thats true but thats what makes this fight so exiting. the fact that this fight is being built up as being competitve yet many on here see this fight as a one sided beat down for either fighter makes you think reality will produce a rematch. I cant see Cotto KOing or Tkoing Margarito, I can see a Margarito KO or Tko. Could anyof you guys imagine Cotto getting Ko'd like Shotgun Gomez and spitting his mouth peice out? that **** would be funny:yep

Will he be better than Cotto to become the new champion though?

My two cents. Don't really give a flying **** who wins, just glad that finally two of the best are gonna fight each other. Both seem like top blokes and deserve to win. Gonna be (should be) one helluva fight. :bbb

    Cotto by late stoppage. :deal

Margarito could win this fight by KO, which is what makes this fight interesting. Margarito has the chin, stamina, power and sustained effort to be at Cotto, even if very few give him a chance to get past the 1st or 2nd round.
