I’ll be fascinated to see how Tony reacts if Haye beats him or blasts him out, after all the contradictions and rubbish he has been coming out with. A lot of it is obviously hyping it but he has said a lot of scathing remarks towards Haye and got carried away I think. Stuff like if he lost Haye would have laughed and spat at him after the last fight. He avoided even taking the injury into account for a long while, so if its clear and Haye completely outclasses him this time it’s a bit embarrassing as he legitimately feels he won the last fight, as in the injury didn’t play a part. He will likely go the route of bolstering haye, maybe saying how he is back to his best and able to beat Wilder, Fury, but not Joshua of course lol. Don’t get me wrong, I dotn want to see Tony get hurt or even humiliated, but to see him eat some humble pie would be nice as he has let this whole thing go to his head. I’m not saying it’s a dead cert Haye wins but I wonder about Bellews reaction if he does….
He'll praise Haye, kiss his arse and be all chummy. It'll be typical Bellew. Shows his true personality before a fight and then puts on a Mr. Nice Guy act post fight.
"It doesn't matter" "I lost to the most talented cruiserweight this country has ever produced" "I'm just a fat cruiserweight from Liverpool" "I didn't try to get under his skin, it doesn't matter" "It doesn't matter" Any combination of those phrases as I don't think Tony is capable of saying anything else.
To be fair, Bellew can't lose even if he loses. If it happens, Haye's the one who went 1-1 with a fighter who he said was levels below him, someone he was sure he was going to destroy. Injury or not, it's bad. Bellew called the first fight very accurately. He said Haye was finished and his body would break down, and Bellew deserves credit. Haye has been hugely overrated over the years, so Bellew reaps the rewards of that. Even getting 1-1 against a guy so highly rated will have been a huge boon to Bellew, in every way. It's quite likely Bellew wins this anyway. Haye's career can end on 2 losses to Bellew. Not good.
He’ll mention 1-1, while trying to be humble and respectful. And in between all of this he’ll drop in that he’s healthy, and that his family and future generations of his family are set for life. P.s What Haye says if he wins will be way more entertaining.
