depends on how he loses, if he loses by decision, he can fight the loser of Pac/cotto, since the winner probably faces JMM. If he loses badly, say KO (farfetched i know) he just might retire.
Any form of defeat to JMM will be mentally devastating for Floyd... I think he will retire again... this time for good... .
i hope not, just wanna see how he conditions for a fight coming from a loss. He just might be braver if ever and aim for the best fights, since he already lost that "0"..
I would expect him to retire, it would help him save face, although if it was a questionable close decision loss i would expect a rematch. To be honest if he loses to JMM it probably will be a sign that he has fallen significantly.
definitely a rematch and then he'd want to suddenly take on fighters such as Paul Williams etc so that he could final prove he is the king at 147.
So losing to a lightweight would give him the confidence to take on Paul Williams? Can't see that happening.
i think that the realization that having no loss in your record is everything, or at all important. Its really about constantly challenging yourself against opponents seen as a possible threat to you.:hey
I have voted others for a very good reason which PBF will not lose to Marquez who is a great fighter himself.
We have boxers doing better after a loss but I highly doubt it will be the case with Floyd... A loss to JMM will be a huge mentally devastating loss... Floyd's invincible armor will be totally crushed... Imagine if a smaller, older, slower and lesser skilled boxer than Floyd can defeat him then boxers like Paul Williams, Mosley and Cotto will suddenly have a 50/50 chance of defeating Floyd... I think Floyd would rather retire to help save his "Pretty Boy" face (like what the other poster pointed out)... I hope I'm wrong on this one tho since a Floyd loss to JMM will open more competitive match-ups at WW...
:yepMAYWEATHER can still draw money!?!? Are u up to date with the ticket sales for his fight with JMM? Even after a delay on the fight there's still plenty of tickets in all sections!!... When he fought DLH & HATTON , they were the draw, not him, like this fight clearly proves! GAYweather's drawing power was a myth only his delusional fans could've ever believed!
:yep A rematch???? Take on fighters like PW after a loss to an old, much smaller guy????? annnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddd last but not least, to finally prove that he's the king @147??? he's never been king @ that weight and is highly doubtful he'll ever be! BTW, just curiosity, how much longer do u have to stick with that avatar?
