    It'll be disappointing unless it's a Khan-type KO.
Obviously it's the kind of fight Canelo's old rival Golovkin would be attacked for.
Imagine Froch fighting Bud at 168, just LOL at the hate he'd get.

Not that I am saying that Bud is as good as Duran, but Duran taking on Hagler and Barkely, is generally seen as Duran daring to be great and not Hagler / Barkley being bullies...

... with Crawford, we haven't seen his ceiling, what I am hoping for is that both guys bring the best out in each other, as I don't think it's in Crawfords makeup to just passively surrender like Charlo etc

Maybe when Crawford is trying to win it will wake Canelo up from the stupor he has been in since Bivol.

Regarding Bud vs Madrimov and Canelo vs Scull, given both were the A-side and were fairly likely to get the nod, I wonder whether they both were somewhat in neutral in those fights - Bud to get the Canelo fight made, and Canelo to lull Bud into thinking his decline is worse than it really is. That said, I think that does Madrimov somewhat of a disservice as I do think Bud did struggle at times with his awkwardness.

Terence Crawford is Turki's favorite fighter or one of them and they seem to be friends. If Canelo goes out and does a Scull type performance I really doubt he will get a decision for it this time.

True but I doubt Crawford gives a Scull type performance of run, flee, jump and run more. At the least he should engage enough which actually makes Canelo better simply by style.

This is a horrible fight for Canelo, no matter the outcome he comes out the loser… his bank account doesn’t though.

if he dominates Crawford and knocks him out, his standing won’t change

If he wins a close decision, his stock will drop

If he loses, his legacy is ruined

I'm trying to keep track of how many of these ignorant conversations centered around trying to hate Crawford for actually daring to be great. Here we have champions like Canelo, Tank Davis, etc.... doing all they can to find the most winnable big name to get in the ring with, while Crawford has spent his entire career trying to fight the best in the division and getting heckled for it. It's weird.

Y'all give ultimate props to Madrimov because Crawford didn't knock him out and he landed a few clean rights as if he isn't a trained fighter himself. Madrimov entered that fight with the intentions of doing all he can NOT to get stopped, thus he spent the entire first 6 rounds doing nothing but feints and pop shots to keep from getting counter. Feel free to do your research and find how many fights Madrimov had where he only threw 270 punches the entire fight. Crawford will be the only one. The fight before and after he was north of 450 in the amount of punches thrown. When Madrimov actually chose to engage, he got rocked. Refer to round 8, 10, and 12..... The exchanges never ended well for him. But this is the fight you chose to display to suggest Crawford has "no chance" vs Canelo..... As if flat foot, down hill, Mexican style Canelo is going to fight the same way as Madrimov.

I look forward to this fight in September. But even more so, I'm looking forward to seeing all these ignorant fans excuses after Crawford comes out on top. Something he's done HIS ENTIRE CAREER after so many doubt his ability to do what he does. Something Canelo, your "Greatest Boxer of All Time" can say he's been able to do. Canelo has 4 fights in which he did not have his hand raised. Ironic because it's been quite a while since he's been the B side to any fight and didn't have control over who he shares the ring with.

this. Crawford is going to go all out trying to win this one. If he wins, it’s a massive add to his legacy, an amazing cap to his career. If he loses, meh, he just cashed out enough to never have to think about money again. Absolute win-win scenario for him.

For Canelo it’s a lose-lose. Which makes me think that it’s only happening because Turki made him a 9 figure offer. Or at the least, a high 8 figure offer. He wins, he was supposed to. He loses, lol, he got beat by an old man who is two weight classes lighter, un poco de legacy, guey.

How is Bud not as good as Duran..... Crawford has gotten better as he moved up in weight. Still has yet to be dominated. Definitely hasn't quit in any fight for any reason. I respect Duran as a great, but lets not act like he doesn't have a lost to the other top opponents in his era. That one win over Sugar Ray was glorious, but he then quit in the rematch (lost the third fight), lost to Hagler, Hearns, Benitez, & Camacho (2x).....

Crawford is cut from the same cloth as a Hagler, Duran, Leonard, Hearns, etc...... for this generation, he is a rare stone because we've seen some of what we thought were the best, be broken in and out of the ring.

The bout vs Canelo is going to be the 2 most accomplished of the active fighters face each other. Yes, Crawford will be 37/38 but it's not like we haven't see fighters at this age or older accomplish great things in the sport. Especially being that Crawford doesn't abuse his body like most adults in life do, including athletes. He doesn't drink, smoke, eat red meat.......He stays in the gym even when not in camp.

For this I like the match up vs Canelo who allegedly is the stronger fighter. Seeing their face off last week, "bigger" is not the adjective that should be thrown around currently. Crawford was definitely not small. He looked bigger than Charlo standing next to Canelo.

Crawford might be as great as Duran, but we've not seen it yet, because he hasn't fought anyone in the same vicinity as Duran's best fights!

Ain't no might too it. Crawford ranks above Duran. PERIOD.

Crawford has dominated the field in which he has played. This includes 12 world champions. 6 of them were undefeated going into the fight. He stopped 7 of those champions. And since Crawford won his first world title vs Ricky Burns in 2014.......he's had 18 fights with all but 1 of those opponents being ranked in the top 10 and/or a champion in the division. Crawford's not cherry picking catch weight cash grabs and fighting exhibitions. He's calling for the best in the division he's competing in to see if they would step up. We've saw fighters like Adrien Broner and Danny Garcia purposely jump out of the division to avoid a collision course. Danny even turned down official offers to fight Crawford as a welterweight but was more than willing to fight a guy Crawford stopped in Jose Benavidez.

It's ignorant to suggest he hasn't faced anyone in the same vicinity as a man who QUIT........... Duran QUIT vs top competition. He lost to the other top guys in on his resume. Duran is the same caliber of Shawn Porter.....except, Porter never said 'No Mas' to any of his opponents. I hate this conversation because it seems as though I don't respect Duran, which I honestly do.... But the silly statements made just to belittle Crawford has to be addressed so that reality can bust you in the mouth.

Stop the nonsense. Y'all so badly want to keep trying to keep Crawford from getting the flowers he deserves, you are willing to ignore all reality to justify the idiotic statements.
