To push GGG back, you need a Holyfield type character, strong willed, iron chin, good all round skills and respectable power.

Push him back, leave openings as you establish your offense, and you'll discover real quick that GGG is really a world class counterpuncher disguised as a pressure fighter.

All you'd be doing is saving him the effort of creating the openings himself, which is why fighters are so reluctant to open up offensively against him.

I'd like to see someone try to force him on the backfoot. You make it sound like it's easy to put a guy with that kind of punching power and technique on the backfoot.

I don't see anybody at 160 putting GGG on the backfoot and not get ****ed up.

You don't know ****. He is very good defensively. He blocks, parrys, catches, slips, bobs/weaves, controls his distance, uses his jab well, baits, counters well. Very efficient. What he doesn't do is dance around like a kangaroo. You like that.

I thought he was actually agreeing that he's good defensively?

He struggles on the backfoot, no doubt about that. It'll probably take a 168lber to keep him there. I'm interested to see what Rubio can bring.
