What will Joyce do better than Hrgovic against Zhang?

You've kind of (correctly, imo) answered your own question. His volume of punches is likely to be substantially higher.

Zhang either needs to KO Joyce, or be the first guy to hurt him enough to make him tentative to throw to the point of a severely reduced punch output, to avoid being clearly outworked.

 

joyce better keeps that high guard early on or he'll get KTFO.

compared to hrgovic, joyce has the much better fight iq, volume and most important: CARDIO!!!

if zhang doesn't find a KO in the first 3-4 rounds, he's going to get battered in the second half and stopped.

 

I don't think Joyce have faced bigger puncher than Zhang, also he is a southpaw and have a very good chance to hurt Joyce from the very start.

 

Hrgovic's ability to box and move probably saved him against Zhang.

Joyce and Zhang seems like a head-on collision. That's what makes it such an exciting matchup. They could both take turns knocking each other around, or one guy could steamroll the other.

If it goes the distance, I'll be stunned.

Can't wait.

 

So this fight will be interesting on two accounts:
1. Joyce is a slow-starter; Zhang is a faster-starter
2. Joyce is a jab-heavy fighter; Zhang is a southpaw
I think Zhang is worth a punt depending on the odds

He'll do everything better because Hrgovic did nothing except bring shame on himself.

 

Joyce has a bad habit of getting tagged in the first few rounds, he needs to be careful

 

I don't see any way for Zhang to take this really. Joyce is a better boxer, and has the greatest chin ever.

Zhang better hope he can deliver the biggest shot ever recorded or he's getting outboxed badly or KO'd late

 

He's getting stopped, viciously in this one.

 

He'll have a better chin and he won't be walking away with his back turned towards his opponent, Hrgovic reminded me of Golota at times wanting to bailout.

 

If Joyce actually tries to just headfirst rush Zhang he'll be badly KOd. Probably he'll know to stay back and box some until Zhang gets tired. If he knows to do that, that's what he'll do better. If he fights like usual from the start, he'll be knocked out cold.

 

He fought like that against Dubois and got the win.
