Don't clown on him. He has a point. And he's only speaking how the world sees it.

If he can't coax Floyd into the ring, that's his second best bet in my view.

I don't think Mosley has what it takes (probably for better.. ) to get Floyd in the ring. Mosley is a stoic, quiet guy. Floyd is insecure and immature, to get him in the ring you need a boisterous almost obnoxious personality to conduct a detailed media assault on him, to get him heated and make him want to come back to fight. That or a payday so high that it cant be turned down -- but Mosley can't generate fees higher then Oscar so thats out of the question.

Hatton/Pac winner would obviously be a nice fight. I don't see Hatton with the desire to fight at 147 again though..

If Cotto fights Clottey he could also get the winner of that fight.

You might have a point here.

Hatton has no business fighting at 147. That became fairly evident after the Collazo debacle, but still....Mosley has got to be the biggest name at welterweight right now, so maybe it could happen.

I can't envision a scenario whereby either Pacquiao or Hatton beat Shane. I think both represent fairly safe fights for him.

Hopefully he can find someone to fight in the meantime.

He'll fight one of the three other belt holders in his division. We just don't know who at this point. :deal

I think he has potentially better avenues to pursue.

What do you mean . . . he'll go up in weight?

If he is staying at 147 there's no bigger fights other than the other belt holders.

Mosley or Cotto are the logical choices for the winner of Pac vs Hatton, thats the big money fight for the winner. There is rumor of Cotto vs Clottey June 12 at MSG not confirmed but lets say if Cotto somehow loses it woul leave Shane all alone for Hatton or Pac

No, I do not think Shane should move up in weight. He should finish his career out as a welterweight, IMO.

What I mean is, potential bouts with Floyd or the Pac-Hatton winner should prove more lucrative than match-ups against alphabet titlists.

Pac-SSM would make for an awesome matchup. Speed kills and both these guys come to take your heart.

Pac has been keeping one eye on retirement it seems lately, so Mosley has to have something to offer him other then furthering his legacy and greatness. Strolling off to fantasy land for a moment..

If Pac beats Hatton in May..

    and

Mosley fights Berto this spring, and Cotto/Clottey winner in fall and emerges victorious from both, I think Pac vs SSM would make great sense and be a hell of a megafight.

If Cotto elects to fight Berto or Cintron instead, SSM needs to fight Clottey in the thought that it is a staybusy matchup with a very live opponent.

I think though that Mosley would find that the Clottey mountain too treturous to overcome, going out on his shield like we all know he is willing to.

There is no reason for him to ever fight Clottey. He's made a career of fighting guys like Clottey. There is no need for him to continue that at damn near 38.

I agree with you but Mosley does not. He wants to keep fighting the best.

He said he wants big fights. This is not that big of a fight. He wants guys like Hatton, Cotto, Pac, and Mayweather. It should be that or nothing. No need to fight Clottey.

Point taken, Clottey would definitely not be considered a big fight by mainstream standards at this point, no doubt. At the same time if Mosley DOES have any ambition to unify he has to go through him. He hasn't indicated it, but one would think that its something he thinks about.
