In order to be great, in boxing chin is mandatory.

Sooner or later you will be tagged and your chin will be checked. No other option, it will happen, yes yes yes or yes.

You can always workaround your stamina issues with experience and a good strategy.

Can't the same be said about stamina? Sooner or later someone will push you beyond your comfort zone, no let up for an entire fight.

You can train that. Clinch, hold, fight with a slow pace... You can do things. You can even stop being a freaking lazy ******* and run and improve your stamina.

But with chin..... no way. You cant do nothing. Nothing at all. Because no matter how good your defense is, your chin will be checked sooner or later.

You can have reflexes like RJJ had. Or have a style like Wlad, or great power like Hearns. But yeah you need something a d its always a liability.

Chin, of course. If you don't have a sturdy mandible you like won't last long in this sport, particularly at the top levels.

Stamina is more important and is a fundamental to boxing. It's literally the first thing that hits you when you train any fighting sport and is the difference between most fighters rather than chin.

The disparity between the stamina of top level pro boxers is the difference more often than chin.

The elite of the elite have skills and IQ that allow them to dictate the pace of a fight to their liking or their opponents disliking again that energy management is what boxing is about.

Lack of stamina will make men with decent chins turn into mush

Go and watch green Tyson Fury against McDermott both times. Stamina is now his forte but it hasn't always been. He was fighting on empty from round 4 onwards it's a miracle he was able to continue to throw punches just off utter fighting willpower

No such thing as a great chin - that depends on the ref to decide. Anyone can get hurt/KO''d

You can survive with low stamina, but not without a chin. If you don't have a chin your gonna get knocked out as soon as someone hits it and no one goes through boxing without ever getting struck in the chin at some point. This same principal really applies to any type of contact sport including stuff like football. Yeah your stamina might be crap, but you can still play the game. If your bones are brittle enough that they break after getting struck by a 200 lb quarterback then your not gonna be playing football for long considering nearly every quarterback out there is gonna be hitting 200 lbs or more.

Stamina. A moderate chin will get you very far of you have great stamina. A strong chin but no stamina sets you up for severe beatings.
