What will be the excuses ? Im not a wilder fan . However i don't see him as a bum . i just see him as untested. I don't like to get caught up in conspiracy theories that ortiz and povetkin ducked wilder on purpose. Or that wilder framed povetkin and ortiz.. The way i see the ortiz wilder fight going. Is ortiz feeling out wilder outgoing him. Then wilder finally loses it he gets frustrated getting outboxed then. He goes in for the kill. And finishes Ortiz off. Im not a wilder fan but this guy almost fought avoided dangerous fighters twice. I believe he will fight ortiz . he is a man of his word .
Finally fought someone with a pulse? I want to like Wilder but nobody wanted a rematch with Stiverne.
I like both fighters, but Ortiz has lost a lot of momentum that he had from 2016. He pretty much wasted all of 2017 and a guy his age can't afford to be throwing away a whole year. He would be Wilder's best win and a solid win, but I don't think the fight will be as competitive as it would've been if it had happened earlier this year instead of sometime next year.
They will say stop beating up a geriatric. Notice Wilder never mentions Povetkin. And clearly doesn't want to fight Joshua or even Parker.
Nobody cares what they will say. Ortiz can't beat Wilder and once he saw how big Wilder was after he entered the ring, imo he became not shook but aware that Wilder means business. Ortiz is a stepping stone nothing more. I just want to see Wilder Joshua.
What will they say? Well if it happens then Wilder fans will lose their tiny minds, this forum will be thread after thread of moronic ramblings. They will forget they took a long leak over AJ's win over Klitschko because he was 40 years old. It will be a hypocrisy fest of intergalactic proportions.
That Wilder beat a boxer that was the best challenge so far. I see it that way. Wilder needs a challenge. Wilder won't KO him though. Luis is too hard headed.
After all the talk by the hardcore fans and there mothers of how Ortiz was the second coming of Liston and he was gonna mop the floor and scrub the toilets with the current feeble top 10, I don't see anything but praise as the end result.
Ortiz is nearly 40 now, isn't he? He hasn't looked as good in his past two fights as he did a few years ago, for example against Jennings. I think Wilder's management have had the strategy of avoiding Ortiz until it's very clear that he's past his prime. Wilder should for once fight a PRIME top heavyweight, namely Anthony Joshua.
