What will Ward do in 2017 if he beats Kovalev, and what will Kovalev do if he beats Ward?

And I'll rub it in your face this time next year how excited you was for the future just for Ward to then fight................nobody, should Ward win.

While Kovalev goes on to become a cash cow like Froch did and earn more in a single night at one point than Ward does in his entire career.

Kovelev will fight Adonis Chickenson. Ward will congratulate his personal referee, judges, boxing commission and commentators who will tell the fans who is winning the fight. Ward's judges have already filled out their cards. Seen too many crooked decisions in Vegas.............

I'm of the idea the loser of the fight will have an issue with the ref. Ward wins if the ref gets him get away with what he wants...loses if he doesn't

If the fight is a box office success, there might be rematch.
Kovalev would continue his reign at 175 and look for a fight with Stevenson.
Ward won´t stay at 175 for too long. If he beats Sergei in a seemingly comfortable manner, he will definitely move up soon.

Yes, he is running away from a ma who is two weight classes below him...
Golovkin is looking for a fight with Alvarez. There is no reason to move up since guys like Eubank and BJS can bring in the same amount of money as Ward or Kovalev.

GGG is only 1 title away from unifying and 3 fights from smashing the record number of defenses.

Then he's coming so Ward better get back in his box, if Krusher doesn't batter him first.

Are you trolling or just a moron?
Andre Ward has fought bigger men his entire career, you really think that he is afraid of an old middleweight? Especially of one who brings Ward´s biggest payday to the table?
And what record? Golovkin became the "true WBA champ" back in 2013, making it 12 title defences(not that it´s not impressive on it´s own).

For the record Golovkin's on 17 and them's facts. And yes I do believe Ward is scared to lose to Golovkin. Plenty of excuses if Kovalev beats him, if Ward wasn't he wouldn't have insisted on being an A-side and would have either accepted less than the 50-50 in split, or done the 50-50 in weight.

He also priced himself out of an even bigger payday against Froch because he was worried about travelling and drug testing

Are we really counting the WBA regular belt now? Wow...
Remember that back then, Sturm was the WBA champ(too bad he ducked Golovkin for so long).
Ricky Hatton defended his World Boxing Union belt 15 times, yet no one gives a ****.

A rematch is sure to be in the future regardless of the winner.

Why would Ward retire? He is about a year younger than Kovalev. Neither man has taken a beating. They are both still solid as far as wear and tear. Ward has a desire to be listed among the very best in history. He can't achieve that in retirement. Plus he don't have that much money, I think his net worth is around 2 mil.
