shouldn't chase after Fury, let Fury get confident early on and bang hit him with a few right hands round 4-6 and finish the fight with a windmill flurry round 6-7
No it was a genuine question, I get the limitations that others have pointed out here, but that's precisely why the likes of Breland will come up with a plan that should address those. Whether it's a high pressure approach that trades taking a punch for giving one, or trying to dart in and out without getting clinched and leant on. One thing I'm interested in is the ref for this fight and the approach he shows to spooling tactics. That could go a long way to nullifying Furys biggest weapon.
"...when it lands start windmilling like a demented spastic..." ROFL - that's so damn true. When he does his face is like he's having an out of body experience.
Wilder has no plan or ring IQ, he fights the same against every opponent. He will be cautious at first and confused by Fury's movement then will open up and windmill in the later rounds.
Wilder has to rush him from the onset. In previous fights, he has waited for openings and setting up with the jab, but he might never get that opening, Wlad didn’t. The longer Wilder waits trying to figure out distance and working out Fury’s feints, etc, the more relaxed, comfortable and fluid Fury will become. If Fury establishes the rhythm, his rhythm, it’ll be difficult to break that cycle. You want to give Fury food for thought and in a panic, give him a 6’7 fighter raging forward throwing fast, wild, powerful swings.
