Schwarts puts a clinic on Fury and shuts him out?

I personally just make the switch from Boxing to Badminton and be done with it

Learn German, eat sausages, go to Oktoberfest.

    Not necessarily in that order.

I might have to suck up my phobia of black and white footage to make a "Max Schmeling, The Thread" thread in tribute

And do the same for Tommy

You definitely should. Max Schmeling was an intelligent boxer with a great right hand. He was also a great man. A true ambassador in sport and life.

Here is a great breakdown if you have not seen the first Louis bout.

I've seen and studied Max before, I think he's got one of the best Ring IQs at HW, but I don't like watching black and white fights at length, just an age thing I reckon

Well i hope you get past it. Some of the best bouts ever are in black and white. Usually it is a quality thing moreso than colourisation, at least in my view.

Also, you have to watch the footage in order to more effectively judge the old timers IMO, even rewatch as necessary (and that can be often).

Quite alot of people speak of old timers in fantasy match ups whilst not actually studying their footage, if it is around. For example, I find Corbett quite overrated in resume, and also overrated in film. Of course he had his talents, but Sullivan was much greater IMO.

I tend to search for footage before weighing in on a matter that requires me to know how they fought, and I usually search for full fights and watch a round or so to get a feel for them (ino I could watch more)

But no I don't usually watch them in order, unless they're my favourites like Charles or Liston

I actually watch bouts similarly to you. I usually go for the boxers best performances, before going to others, then losses to see vulnerabilities etc. Not very ordered.

Start with the greats like Sugar Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong and Archie Moore to get accustomed to black and white, they look so good on film that you won‘t notice it as much similar to Charles and Liston who are also my favorite black and white fighters lol.

I have seen all of them on film just not full 15 round fights

The only two fights I've watched in black and white which went the distance were Carmon Basilio vs Kid Gavalin (another fav) and Charles vs Marciano 1
