I think Haye lasts four or five rounds longer with Wlad than Vitali.

I am nervous for ALL of Wlad's fights. Did you miss my post before he fought Rahman? I am not nervous because I think that he is fighting against someone better than himself... I am nervous because it is the heavyweight division, and only one punch can end any fight. Against Byrd, you're right... I am obviously not as nervous as all of his other opponents. However, that is just because I KNOW that Wlad will never be outboxed. That doesn't mean that Wlad shouldn't get credit for a win... because Byrd was a very good boxer, who also happened to be ranked #1 in the World by Ring mag. Byrd would have beaten Peter, IMO. However, I was no more nervous when Wlad fought Peter than I was when he fought Brock, Austin, Iggy, Rahman, Thompson, Brewster, ect....

I still stand by the fact that you have a huge double standard when talking about Peter being a worthy, dangerous challenger, and not the others. Completely without base... and Peter's big knockout win was brutal... but no more brutal than some of the other's knockout wins. Derrick Jefferson and Calvin Brock have knockouts that are just as brutal, if not MORE brutal than that one.

At the end of the day, Haye has said he'd fight both of them. Whether ur a klit fan or not, i think uve got to admire that. its not stupidity. he'd a more dangerous opponent than wlad has ever faced seriouly, and 2nd to lewis against vitali. Im really excited, whatever the outcome. Its a chance for wlad/vitali to really cement their legacy against the doubtest etc .....

I'm shocked Widdow, you mean to tell me you that Austin had you just as nervous as Sam Peter? You remember how scary Peter was coming up through the ranks, I know that Williams knockout flashed in brain right before the fight.:scaredas:

I do agree, Bryd was number 1 and also the IBF champ when Wlad fought him back in April of 06, though to be honest with you, based on styles alone, I knew Bryd had no chance to win, barring a Wlad injury. I do believe Haye is Wlad's most dangerous oppenent at this time, aside from his brother Vitali.

How about this before Wlad fought Brock... not a scary enough, devastating enough knockout from an undefeated contender.. to look like a dangerous opponent?
    [yt]MBNoHwahMMM[/yt]

How about Derrick Jefferson vs Mo Harris before he fought Wlad? Always listed as one of the top 5 knockouts in HISTORY. How about Brewster's brutal knockouts? I could keep going on.. my point is that Wlad has ALWAYS fought dangerous punchers. I have NEVER been afraid that Wlad was going to be outboxed.... I certainly didn't think that Peter could outbox Wlad... I am always nervous because as with ANY heavyweight fight, they can all end by one great punch... and the best fighter doesn't always win in that case.

The Zuri Lawrence knockout, that was horrible, I think it won knockout of the year. Then again, Lawrence gets knocked out in almost every fight he has against anything better then a C class fighter.

I agree with the point you made though, even though Brock really aint a puncher, and Jefferson is not exactly a top notch fighter. Peter was a legitimate banger, and correct me if I'm wrong, was the slight favorite in that fight or at least should of been. I got a fighter you forgot to throw in, TOS, he can bang and he put up a pretty good fight until the stoppage.

TOS can bang... although he ran from Wlad for the entire fight.... literally. It just further proves my point... Wlad has NEVER, EVER shown that he is scared to fight dangerous opponents. To be honest... the man consistently fights against hard punchers that are HIGH RISK, and low reward... which shows even more balls. I mean, fighting guys like Sanders, Brewster, Rahman, Jefferson, ect... guys that can knock anyone out with one punch, yet Wlad wouldn't get a lot of credit for beating.

Wlad fights scared. You can see it in his eyes when he gets nailed. He clinches, and it looks like Mariah Carey, the first time she saw Nick Cannon naked, the way the fierce hugging action is.

So... I guess you would give Wlad loads of credit if he fought Haye instead, right?

Winning is not the issue. A guy with his talent should be winning. The issue is how he wins. Considering the poor quality opposition he has been facing, he shouldn't have to take forever to knock them out. He plays around for what seems like an endless period of time, then inexplicably takes a notion to start fighting. As soon as he does that they haven't got a chance. The question is, why the **** is he playing around? Go back and watch the video of him fighting Brock. You will actually hear Jim Lampley describe his change in performance as flipping a switch. I don't think he is a real fighter. He is just some big strong athlete who happened to make wrong choice at the right time.

Knowing Wlad's chin issues you would think he would carefully select his opponents and cherry pick the ones with small power but despite being knocked out by big punchers he continues fighting biggest punchers in the heavyweight division.

Also, apart from fighting big punchers, he is fighting against many different styles. He faced raw power in Samuel Peter, slickness in Chris Byrd, quickness and southpaw in Ibragimov.

Btw I just noticed boxrec has Albert Sosnowski at #15 higher than Chris Arreola damn :yikes
