At 30 Casamayor, Freitas. No mention, no offers, and yes BOTH HAD BELTS while PBF was at 30.

At 35 he ducked Spadafora(search the forum, find thread, read timeline of events, watch vid, and cry on Illmatics shoulder).

At 40, he didnt fight Hatton, save the offer excuses thats all they were and they now have the fight set even though its not at 40. Tszyu?? STFU!!! Tszyu said he wanted the biggest fights and Floyd went on camera before Bruseles saying Tszyu isnt old enough yet, he needed to fight an OLD TSZYU so that he could avenge his Unc rogers loss at the hands of Kostya.

Casamayor won his paper title (linear existed in G.Hernandez) from a 50-22 fighter, thats how legitimate that title was at the time. While Mayweather was fighting Corrales, Casa was fighting Edwin Santana and Joe Morales. Were you even alive then? There was no call for the bout with Casamayor, for Hernandez and Chavez were more widely known and ranked about the same. Same goes for Freitas and his WBO strap. He won the paper title from a contender at best and both fighters legitimized each other with their bout against each other and subsequent bouts with Corrales and Castillo, long after Floyd was gone.

I'm going to give Mayweather nothing but credit, but there is a lot of credence to those who say he took the easy way out. Hatton is a great 140lb fighter, no doubt, but wouldn't we all rather see Mayweather tested against Mosley or Cotto or even Williams?

Perhaps some will, but not I:nono It's really not an acceptable statement as team Hatton already knows what they are facing and have addressed the potential issue by saying they have the proper time to prepare and have brought in nutrionist's to help ensure that Hatton is properly prepared.

Hatton is 43-0 31 KO's the lineal and proper 140 Champion and the biggest test of Mayweather's career so far. It may not be the biggest test available but its finally the type of challenge that Floyd should be taking. Both fighters are to be commended on making this fight.

That's great. I don't know if you are for Hatton or for Floyd but I am a fan of Floyd. I've been called a nuthugger one time, and only one time, and I think that that was absolutely uncalled for but I am certainly a fan. I think he is the #1 pound for pound best there is right now, and as such, I am VERY disappointed that Ricky Hatton is his next fight. I thought things were going to change when he fought Oscar, that now he would only take on the best, and there is an argument that Hatton will be the hardest fight he has ever taken (I personally don't think so.)

Either way, it's very hard to call him a ducker or a dodger when he fights an undefeated champion like Ricky Hatton. Still, I'd rather he was fighting someone else. It is Floyd's time to PROVE his greatness, and I don't think a win against Hatton would do the same for his legacy as a win against Mosley or Cotto.

With any luck, he'll fight the Cotto-Mosley winner.

It's pretty sad. The spend money on pitching, but on crap players. Garcia, Gordon, Leber, Eaton, are all getting $5 + million. They all have contributed nothing this year.
