    Hypothetical situation but if the Jacobs fight gets ordered and Haymon were to win the purse bid, GGG maybe forced to fight on Showtime. If he decides not to stating his HBO deal as the reason what will everyone say?

    I'd be speechless, honestly. I'm holding him to his word that unifying 160 is his mission. No reason not to take out Jacobs in December now that Jacobs seems like he's up for taking his shot.

    I think there would be decent odds of this happening though.

    GGG works for Hbo
    Hbo don't work for GGG

    Hbo won't let their boy fight on showtime

    Surely it depends, is he contracted to hbo? If so legally he wouldnt be able to fight on another network so he'd have no choice unless he fancies being sued for millions...

    To be fair Jacobs has a belt which he has the proper version of so no real need to take out Jacob other than its his mandatory and his a good fighter

    True I'm only assuming he does coz he's always thought on there and if I had to guess he probably has something similar to Kovalev but its just a guess

    GGG has an exclusive contract with HBO, correct? That would mean he has no way to fight on another network unless HBO grants him an exception.

    So basically if Haymon were to force it to purse bid, then over bid and try to put it on Showtime, that would clearly be a political way of getting the WBA off of GGG without fighting him. Considering that Golovkin is legally bound to fight on HBO and Danny isn't, forcing the fight to Showtime would be a blatent duck on Haymon/Danny's part. How could anyone reasonably see it differently? Would the demos really try to blame GGG if this were to happen??

    That being said I am currently very optimistic that Haymon is negotiating with K-2 in good faith.

    They definitely won't say the same thing they said about Stevenson but thats different situation.
    They let Manny fight on Showtime against Shane Mosley. Why not let GGG and Jacobs fight on Showtime?

    Lol who told him to do that?? Is that Jacobs fault that his a HBO fighter? no, is it Haymons fault? No. Haymon has relationship with Showtime if he wins he makes more money dealing with showtime than hbo it ain't ducking if he puts the fight on that networtk, what are you talking about?
