So multiple weight class wins? Avenged defeats against ATGs? Trilogies?

Picture the next GOAT what is is career like? Would it even be possible for people to agree on a new GOAT?

    This :deal

The fighters considered right up there usually have more impact on the world than just boxing. Think Joe Louis vs Max Schmelling or Muhammed Ali & civil rights kinda poignancy.

So he would need to go 100 fights (or there abouts) undefeated?

So in other words there will never be a new GOAT.

I agree with the comment about transcending boxing ala ali.

He needs to be absolutley exceptional, first of all. But there are lots of different ways to ge into the argument, and make the top 4 a top 5.

Be able to beat Robinson H2H AND have a better resume than him. The last part isn't going to happen. Fighters don't fight as much these days.

You have to fight the best available in their primes and do a good job of it.

To be an ATG you need to do a combined few of several key things:

    - Have clearly unique physical talent/technical mastery in comparison to other fighters
    - Fight the best of your era without excessive hesitation, and beat most if not all of them
    - Beat several lineal champions across at least two or three weight divisions, or unify one division (such as heavyweight) and reign for a long ass time
    - Retain relatively few losses throughout your career, with significant winning streaks
    - Decisively outclass lesser opponents, and more importantly show great heart against greater ones

Not many, if any fighters, have all three, but ATG's have three or four out of five. I suppose those that exemplify these the most deserve it. Ali and Robinson come to mind. In their prime there was absolutely no question who was on top.

There will never be a GOAT.
That belongs to Sugar Ray Robinson.

It is impossible now due to health regulations to surpass Robinson.

When i see PBF, Pac, or any other new fighter take on everyone relevant around them and not make negotiations that give them some sort of advantage fighting every month or every other month then yes i think it would be fair to say that we can see another GOAT but with the stipulations we have now its basically impossible.
Safer and better for the fighters but doesnt help their case when it comes to ATG rankings.

I am impressed by guys like MAB, JMM, and Pac who have all fought above 50 times. That definately succeeds todays expectations.

    Man can you imagine watching
Pac, PBF, JMM, and Bradley fighting 5 or 6 times a year?

    Boxing would be booming.

Actually look like the G.O.A.T on film. Must have no weakness and be able to fight any style and be able to win a fight with any style. Must never have been knocked out or knocked down in prime. Must have all the ATG attributes:
Great Power, Speed, Athleticism, Skills, Stamina, Durability.

-Minimum lineal Belts in three original divisions
-Sheer domination of the sport across multiple divisions
-ATG scalps against other multidivisional or long standing champs
-In their prime they must have won all their fights convincingly againts ATG's.
