Be Floyd Mayweather - Beat Pac, Cotto, Martinez, Williams, Berto, Bradley, Kahn, and the top 2 young contenders and you might be the GOAT.

    That's 10 fights over the next 4 years....it's possible

what if Nonito moved up to 118 and beats Perez and Montiel by KO and then moves up to 122 and KO's caballero in the 1st and afetr that KO's juanma, Gamboa, and John, soon after he KO's Soto, Bradley and p4p king Amir Khan at 147, after he moves up yet again to face paul williams in a war that lasts only 4 rounds williams jumps out and nonito gets the win, finally he meets up with 52 year old Hopkins at 168 and wins by devastating KO he goes back down to 147 and rules the division for the next 15 years, killing everyone in the 1st round some even in stare downs, would that make him p4p #1 ever?

Its not possible for either pacquiao or mayweather to be GOAT in this era. There simply aren't enough ATG's availible for them to beat. Mayweather would for example have to stop pacquiao, move up and stop pavlik, williams and martinez, and then move up again and possible beat with winner of the super six decisively. In fact, that probably would make him GOAT but it would never happen.

    There would be people saying
Montiel was shot, Perez was a hypejob, Callebro was 35, John was old,
    Khan had a glass jaw
Bradley had a girl first name so he is supposed to beat him,
    PW was weight drained
Hopkins was shot for the last 10 years
and the WW division was weaker than Calzaghe's 168

so no, Nonito wont be considered GOAT

I believe if Mayweather beats Pacquiao, then moves to 154 faces the winner of Cotto and foreman, and then moves upto 160 to fight Martinez.. if he wins all 3 of those fights, and retires 44-0 and a 9 time world champion, in 6 different weight classes, I see no reason why people can't potentially label him GOAT.. records are there to be beaten, and if a fighter acheives everthing and beats EVERY oppenant they have ever faced, then there can be a solid claim to this title.

I'll put you in a hypothetical sitatuation.

Pacquiao is already considered by most to be a top20 ATG fighter. In the same bracket as guys like Whitaker, Marciano, etc.

Now imagine that Pacquiao were to fight Floyd in November and win by a convincing 8-4 type decision. Then he comes back in May 2011 and unifies his title with Berto by knocking him out in the 7th round. Imagine that meanwhile things clear up at 154 and PW wins a title and then unifies with the winner of Cotto vs Foreman to be considered the lineal champ. Pac moves up to 154 in november 2011 and outboxes PW, stopping him in the 10th. Then he moves up once again to 160, where a new MW champion has established himself by knocking out Martinez. PAc takes this guy on and beats him by lop-sided decision.

Where would you rank him? He'd make a rock solid case for top5 or maybe even goat. Do I think Pac will accomplish all that? of course not. But its not true to say noone will ever be able to be good enough to be the GOAT
