What would a ko win over a-over-the-hill Barett, bring Tua??

    Monte was once a good (not great) fighter who was durable and could give a nice, but not spectaculair good, punch. After he was destroyed by Cliff Couser ( a C-level fighter) in 2 rounds and after Solis (round 2) and Haye (round 5) showed him all corners of the ring he can not be seen as a serious test.
    I see it as a fight of tha-good-ol'-days between has beens. Tua might have a last chance to get in a position to get a titlefight but he should fight some better opposition right now. Barett is only a keep busy fight and not a step better than the durable Friday Ahunanya was (Tua last opponent) or a bigger scalp than Shane Cameron was (his opponent before Ahunanya).

    As long as Tua gets another fight in a couple months it's good, but if this is his only oppenent for the next year it's ******ed.

    he's a name and in today's landscape who knows?

    tua should aim higher and fight tony thompson, bet he'd win that fight and then he'd deserve a title fight.

    When will people realise, Tua SUCKS. He just beats up on bums without stepping up.

    As soon as he steps up and fight's someone decent he gets beat.

    He is just going to continue fighting bums until he gets outpointed again and then retires.

    Tua's a big puncher, incapable of beating a good boxer. Someone said he should fight Thompson, but he'd never get to Thompson. That would be a snorefest and Thompson would win a wide margin decision. Tua's just trying to make a few bucks before retirement I guess. He's not a legitimate contender.

    LOL, Tua is pretty over-the-hill himself. He isn't exactly the same Tua who fought Ike Iabucchi. In fact, he looks like a ROUND New Zealand coconut.

    Haye got a title shot because he was stepping up in weight and entered heavyweight with a bang. He's a fairly uknown quantity at heavy who pulls way more cash than a guy like Tua. Tua has been around for a minute. He's a well proven at heavy and for all intents and purposes finished at a top level. Apart from dynamite in both hands he brings very little to the heavyweight division. His time has long come and gone.

    Sure Tua is far over the hill but he still could do something that says more about the division nowadays than about Tua
