Let's just say Marquez pulls of the upset this time around, would that put him ahead of JCC sr. as far as being a national hero of Mexico?

I hope the hell he gets ko'd this time myself, but part of me wants to see him get his props that his skills desrve.

Even though I favor Pacman, I always root for a good fight 1st and accept the winner as long as it's legit ie; not Bardley. I think these 2 are gonna give us the best showdown yet.

It would solidify JMM in the top ATG 10 in Mexican boxing.
Put him down as (Where he belongs anyway) Best of decade.

    But over JCC Sr. Nope.
    Check Chavez. Resume.

If either secures a KO victory, I believe history will regard them as having the slight edge in the rivalry. Although they are both well past prime, they are still both top 6 P4P. So. Yeah.

If Marquez wins a decision in this fight, should it be regarded as better or worse than Morales' win?

It wouldn't do anything to his career. He already lost to pacman 3 times.

He never was as good as JCC Sr. or as dominant. JCChavez had a special quality to him all the time and got better as a lightweight and did try and fight everyone. As for JMM, he is fighting Pacman for the 4th time when Manny is wearing out, so if he wins it is obvious that the difference is Manny and not JMM, who is getting older himself. Fact is Manny has had tougher fights against better opposition than JMM by far. And JMM losing to Mayweather easily still means something. I still think Manny finds a way to win on Sat. just because he is so much greater than JMM. Even if JMM has the right style for him, he still will not beat him. I think Manny uses his jab and outboxes JMM.

He would need ko to show he i son par with Pacquio after the previous decisions. A ko would also hopefully lead to rematch with Floyd. Don't think he would win, but it would be good to see.

Floyd would love for JMM to win. He can say he beat the man who beat Pacman, and he could have another fight with JMM and outbox him easily enough again. Thing is most people dismiss the Mayweather fight with JMM. I am not sure why. Maybe they felt Floyd handpicked JMM as an easy fight with a smaller opponent and fought him when JMM was not ready at the weight or for Floyd's style. Who knows.

It would be good to see him get that W finally, but imagine where his career "could have been" had he gotten the nod over Pacman in the other fights.

That's what burns him the most IMO.

He already beat Manny 2 out of 3 in most peoples opinion its just having his hand raised is what he wants. He's already a top 10 greatest Mexican fighter, but the world already knowing he already beat Manny and to beat him again just to finally get a win on paper by 3 judges Jmm gets the recognition anyways regardless. It could happen Manny gets robbed and Jmm gets the decision this time that's how boxing is sometimes. If that was the case then Manny gets the props, Jmm gets the win, and it wouldn't hurt either of their legacies with Jmm at 39 and Manny proving he is the real people's champion win or lose.
