If £££ is the main motivation then obviously you are correct.

Not sure when it was, it was mentioned a few times on here.

Witter brags about how he's always in shape, I know there's a difference between being in shape and being in fighting shape, but he should have gone for it.

I never thought I'd see the day that JC was held up as an example of a champ who defends against his top contenders. I'm not knocking Calzaghe but the Lacy/ Kessler fights took place a lot deeper into his reign than Hatton is into his.

Haye had no other decent option at Cruiser, it was either Enzo or move up. Hatton has plenty of options.

    What?

Malignaggi is a better fighter than Witter. Aside from that, sadly, as boxing is still run by America, and it's pretty obvious that American's will favour a win over Malignaggi than Witter who they barely know now. Do you think The Ring will hype a Hatton/Witter fight more than Hatton/Malignaggi? ESPN? HBO? Every global boxing media outlet with look more favourably upon a Hatton/Malignaggi fight. Therefore, it's pretty obvious a fight with 'The Magic Man' would do a lot more for Hatton.

I take it you didn't see Malignaggi's last fight.

They're all entitled to bad nights.

Witter's had enough of them for you to know that.

Maybe but I still can't see how he's better than Witter.

You can't, but you can't say Witter is better than PauliM either.

Can you say Hatton is better than either of them?

Going on recent form I'm not sure Hatton is to be honest.

IMHO yes. He's beaten better guys than either Witter or Pauli.

Is "recent form" losing to Mayweather at Welterweight? Because before that he looked pretty good taking JLC apart.

I'm not so sure about the Castillo fight. The Urango and Collazo fights weren't very convincing.
