Well, GAZ, I consider myself a boxing fan and I think it's a big deal that a fighter can claim to be the best in his division, especially as a consolation for losing at the higher weight, but given the chance prefers to go for the easier fights. And if you think Hatton isn't lauded for it, how come I saw someone on a different thread say that they're happy that Hatton is "making Witter stew" and said they'd do the same thing? It's not the first time I've seen that posted by so-called boxing fans. I think it is a big deal that the best fight isn't happening at 140lbs and regardless of what anyone thinks of Witter, it isn't happening on the whim of a respected champion. You don't have to hate Ricky Hatton to think that's wrong.

Well, a guy like SleezeNation is a Hatton **** sucker, its plain for all to see

Guy sounds like hes on Hatton's pay roll, the excuses are weak as hell. I honestly thinks he listens to Hatton's little interviews on Sky Sports news, and regurtitages his shitty excuses

You are getting that way, if you think it is acceptable for him to fight Malignaggi and refuse to even acknowledge Witter as a potential fight. Come on, thats poor form. At least man up and admit you should fight him in the future... :-(

If you can be arsed searching through my posts when the Lazcano fight was announced I said a decent schedule for Hatton after the Mayweather loss would be Lascano, Pauli, then Witter and Diaz/ Torres before having another pop at 147. It's a good fight and should be made at some point but the level of anger on this forum that it isn't hapenning is way OTT.

Most of what comes out of his trap.

Basically - I want to see them fight, and i am tired of listening to Witter. He just has one of those voices that goes right through ya!

so you mean all the calling out of Hatton? Yeah, how dare he.
Anyone would think they're the top 2 ranked fighters at a certain weight class in the tough sport of boxing. Outrageous I tell ya.
Wicky has passed up the chance to shut Witter up for years. I wonder why. It sure ain't because Junior whispered 'one day' to Hatton at a dinner.

The level of anger is directly proportional to the extended length of ducking and bull**** level of excuses

However, if you did plan out that schedule, fair play. I'd much prefer him to fight Witter first because I'm rapidly losing faith, but I wouldn't be too displeased with that. Won't happen, he'll go straight for Torres if an easy money spinner against Pacquiao or a rematch with Mayweather don't come off :-(

I did plan that schedule in a coversation with Dunky amongst others, I'll try to find it if I've got too much time on my hands tonight.

There wasn't too much anger when Hatton was fighting in America, now he's having a "soft" fight the usual suspects are jumping all over him. His last 4 fights if all goes to plan will have been JLC, P4P#1, a soft touch and then his number 2 contender. Not too shabby.

The calling out isn't a problem at all, not if done within reason, so to speak.

The problem is with doing so for eight years and rarely talking about anything, or anybody, else. Does he talk about Hatton when shagging his girlfriend as well?

Your latter point is correct, however :good

Witters problem is that he's only got one way to get his name in the paper and thats on Hattons back. No one would give a **** about Witter on here if he couldn't be used as a tool to have a go at Hatton with.

That is how big Mick promotes his fighters.

Thats my point, Witter attracted 50 votes on a specialist boxing forum, a good proportion of which were from posters on the Brit section trying to make a point. Its not a fight that people outside this cosy little forum are waiting for with baited breath. People down my local know I'm a boxing fan and I have to field a lot of questions but no one is asking when Hatton is going to fight Witter.

first, lets see how many votes in the end.
so people are asking for Lazcano and Malignaggi more are they? If nobody gives a **** about Witter, then definitely nobody anywhere gives a **** about Lazcano, Paulie and a host of others like Urango, Collazo etc.
it's a sham and most people acknowledge it.
