Would be if Pacman did go ahead and beat Cotto, while Mayweather beats Mosley, Pacquaio is no longer simply a smaller man he is proven at Welterweight against the best (if he wins), both are clearly 1 and 2 at the weight and 1 and 2 P4P. Roger Mayweather talked Mosley so that could happen

It would be massive if they actually fought and got it over with.

Pacquiao is not proven at Welterweight, his only fight at Welter was DLH and even though that was amazing it's still not enough to prove it. Think it's fair to say he's a proven light welterweight after his insane performance/victory over the #1 Light welterweight Hatton.

If Pacquiao were to beat Cotto then he would be a proven Welterweight. It would prove his ability to handle the weight as well as a Welterweight's punch (Cotto). However, Pacquiao fans would never want this to happen because they would not have any excuses when Mayweather would dismantle Pacquiao.

I think that Pacquiao will always be small for the welterweight division, but this might not mean he could not be competitive at that weight. He will always have the size disadvantage against the more natural WWs, since he can't seem to weigh much above the limit (148 was his heaviest). With his build, any more muscle/mass would be detrimental to his performance.

You keep underestimating Pacquiao but you will see the difference in class when your boy loses to a smaller man.

Cotto would ass whoop Pacman. Imagine what Cotto would have done to the version of Delahoya that Pac fought.

You do realize that even "IF" Pacquiao defeats Cotto, Pacquiao will not be a proven true welterweight. Welterweight is 147lbs and Pacquiao/Roach have already stated that they will not go up to that weight to fight. Light Welter or Junior welter is the correct term so before u post a moronic, useless statement like above, please know who the **** you're talking to.:hi:
