Funny you mention Leeds because I have several friends that are hardcore Leeds footie supporters, and, even though they are Irish and not from Leeds, they are FANATICAL about their team. And Leeds arent even in the top flight (yet, lol). Evidently their supporters are known for their shear fanaticism.

Still doesn't get anywhere near the love he would if he wasn't a gypsy though. His personality doesn't help.

I can’t say I’ve ever been to a huge stadium for a boxing event. The biggest was probably in Paris (16,000). York Hall in London only holds 2,000, yet provides a cracking atmosphere, you’re so close to the action too. Brilliant venue.

Benn-McClellan was the most violent atmosphere. The fighters or the fight can inject something. But they were baying for Gerald's blood (even more so than they were for Eubank's).

Kings Hall in Belfast was unbelievable for McGuigan, and that mad night in Millstreet for Eubank-Collins on St Paddy's weekend.

For sheer hatred, White Hart Lane for the tragic Eubank-Watson fight takes some beating. 22,000 were standing on their seats when Eubank was wobbling in that 11th. That and Benn-McClellan were so disturbing, demon-possessed.

I don't think you can possibly match that today.
