What would be the tougher fight for Mayweather: Canelo Alvarez or Manny Pacquiao?

WW Manny Pacquaio is a bigger threat at any point than Canelo is.

If Manny was the catchweight queen Floyd woulda fought him a long time ago for free, no testing needed because we know Floyd is furious when it comes to women:lol::patsch.

    That's a good question.

Pacquiao is faster, works three minutes a round, and is more aggressive. In theory he presents Mayweather with a harder fight. In theory.

Had the fight come off I wouldn't have been surprised to see Floyd tattoo Manny on his way to a UD; Pacquiao leads with his head a little and can be reckless, getting himself into positions that Mayweather would sniper.

Perhaps Manny could've taken him to a dark place, but was that just confusing the event with the fight? I've always had this hunch that Floyd would shine under his aggression.

The Trout fight showed that Alvarez is difficult to hit cleanly, takes his time and packs a wallop. He very well may lose, but I don't think he'll be made to look stupid. You're not going to beat Floyd with physical equipment, not in 12 rounds with well-timed clinches; he's too well conditioned, too clever. You need to think your way through each round, steadfast and vary your attack - Canelo has a little bit of that.

This could be a fiery chess match. With Manny it would have likely been more bluster than boom.

Legacy wise is another matter - a Pacquiao win would have covered Floyd's résumé in double cream.

That is right on the money. And now he may not reach his best cause if he gets beat up, he might not be the same after

Mayweather has had one catchweight (152 not 150) against a now legitimate lmw and all of a sudden he's the catchweight king lol pac fought an inactive shot welter, cotto, de la hoya etc not to mention shot mosley and a bloated marquez who he lost to twice . Pac has always had the style to possibly beat Floyd but on the otherhand Floyd could have dominated him also. Both parties are to blame for the fight not happening and unless pac can pit a shutout vs rios then the fight won't happen

    Canelo!

Floyd Mayweather is a horrible matchup for Manny Pacquiao hands down. You pick Pac and its all about his offense but what is never said is what he doesn't do offensively and how that gets him ****ed against Floyd. First he doesn't commit to the jab bc he relies on speed, power and combinations. "Without a jab against my nephew you don't have a chance." Roger Mayweather

Second he can't cut off the ring and his foot work is not great but his foot speed is and he would be following Floyd in straight lines and getting caught in traps all night.

Then you have to ask the question, how does Manny handle Floyd's offense? Floyd since turning pro has had one of the best offenses in the game and is the most accurate fighter of this era. He also controls the range and fights tall for his height too. Manny of 2009 gets dominated 9 rounds to 3 and looks lost.

Canelo may not have enough but it will be rougher for Floyd than Manny bc Canelo can cut the ring off, and he will jab and get physical. He may even body slam Floyd in this fight.

Pac looks great against guys who are willing to trade with him, but he struggled against a counter puncher like Marquez in their fights together. Mayweather would pick him apart.

Canelo is tougher, meaning more durable, can take a beating, better chin.
    Now Pac is 100% creampuff.
Not durable, cant take it, and no chin.
Canelo knocks out Pac with anything that he touches him with.
