Pointless exercise. Let's see how he does against Joshua.

He would be slightly less regarded than Nicolai Valuev. Come to think of it, that would make a nice 'dream fight' post....perhaps a nightmare.

His legacy would be opening up a aluminium smelting business...

You know there'd be a ton of fools calling him the GOAT. Him and Marciano.

He'd be one of those annoying what-ifs that people like to bring up in fantasy fights.

Among the casual fanbase he'd be quickly forgotten.

He'd have a decent rep in the US but he was second fiddle to other guys based in Europe and showed no appetite to fight any of them except latterly Joshua, and that's only because the cheque is worth the likely ass whupping.

When your most famous fight is against an internet troll you really have no claim to any legacy worth talking about.

Errr I reckon he'd be looked at like a KO winning version of Sven Ottke.

Legacy? The best belt milker of all time. Wilder did not face one top ten ring magazine ranked title opponent at the time he fought them and was exposed in victory quite a few times.

If the USA had better heavyweight he quickly be forgotten.

The American version of Brian Nielsen before he lost, but with an ABC strap for 5 fights.

In other words, virtually no legacy.

In case you dont know who Brian Nielsen was he was a HW who got to a record of 49-0 but never fought for a title. He finished his career with a 64-3 record in the end.
