This is a fight that should have happened in 1981. ABC was hyping it. Both guys were contracted to ABC, but for whatever reason, Spinks challenged Mustafa instead. Then, Don King signed both and wanted to set up a Unification match for 1982. All Saad had to do was make one more defense first. He chose to defend against Dwight Braxton and,..........

I don't think this would have been very competitive.

I beg to differ, Conn gets the nod for his lovely boxing and great accounts against Louis... but Conns Career comes to a near halt in 1942, his last win against Zale. Zale gets bombed out against Mills, size, strength and relentless determination ensures this.

the fight records against bigmen also the sign posts... no way Zale takes a Baksi, Woodcock and a few other lesser Bigmen beatings like Mills did.

anyhow, Conn beat Gus, because he was the faster slicker better boxer, which I believe he would do to Mills too. However tis IS a FIGHT, Mills vs Lesnevich II was a defo Clear Cut Decisive Beating for Mills.

Conn vs Mills would be a great fight, with a Conn victory, but a hard fought pressing affair.

Dwight would beat the crap out of Moorer. Moorer would be right there to be hit. Dwight would slip and counter all night long.

John Henry Lewis vs Bob Foster (because I think JHL is a bit of an unsung great with a kickass resume and would be a great match up against a h2h monster like Bob)

Archie Moore vs RJJ (Old school vs modern flash, fascinating to see the contrasting styles)

Julian Letterlough vs Jeff Harding (Dynamite power vs granite chin, it would be a war)

Personally, it'd have to be Adonis Stevenson vs Sergey Kovalev. RJJ vs Spinks would be another one. B-Hop vs Moore too. Both were crafty fighters.
