What would Deontay Wilder's boxing record be if he fought in Muhammad Ali's era?

I think this is reasonable although he might get a loss or two more. The issue I have is that Wilder has only fought 1 elite fighter in Fury who himself is untested relative to the ATG's at heavy. I mean Fury has only had 5 World Championship fights and three of them against Wilder.
As for Wilder's reign well that pales against the the other ATG's who fought pretty much everyone in their own era's. I think people overstate the modern era just because they're bigger but they're still largely untested for me.

Frazier would get on the inside moving his head and crack him with a leaping left hook.
If someone undersized like Haye could jump in and hurt a giant like Valuev, who says someone like Smoking Joe couldn't do the same or worse to Wilder.

Size isn't everything in this sport, Usyk owned Joshua just a few months ago...and everyone seem to have forgotten. So did a short and fat Ruiz. Wilder isn't much better than Joshua, he is worse in many ways when it comes to defence and boxing ability.

Why do people here somehow think that Fury beats Foreman, Louis, and Ali while Wilder gets Koed by all of them despite the fact that wilder knocked fury down 3 times, they really aren't that far apart.

Wilder is a better Ernie shavers who can definitely come out on top. Guys like Frazier are too small, Ali's plan of rope a dope would be suicide, and I honestly think he hits harder than young foreman

He'd pick up a few loses but it wouldn't be that bad. Much the same as if he fought better competition in his own era.

He got beat down by Fury, which I think he always would but I'd imagine he'd KO some of the other contenders as well as getting KO'd by some of other harder hitting ones himself.

Wilder has fought in the current era shared by 3 very good heavyweights in Fury, Klitschko, and Aj and has only fought 1 of them. Lets assume he doesn't fight Ali, Frazier And Foreman but rather just 1 of them 3 times. I would say he ends up with a similar record to the one he has now.

I agree with this. I can only go of what people have done rather than coulda woulda nonsense. I think it's reasonable that he might have avoided a few of the bigger threats like in this era. So it might not be too different from the record he has. I think he would skip on the heavier handed like Foreman.

Wilder might on paper have the style to knock out a lot of contenders, but his resume is just too poor. Furthermore, he would probably avoid fighting the likes of Ali, Foreman, Frazier

Loses to Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Ron Lyle, Larty Holmes, comprehensively.
Problematic that he defeats Jimmy Young and Ken Norton.
Beats everyone else, including Jean-Pierre Coopman, The Lion of Flanders.

He gets exposed a lot earlier than he did in this era.

Fury and Wilder are completely different fighters.

Frazier wouldn’t have been too small.

Wilder is extremely vulnerable if he can’t land huge power shots.

Frazier would have been an extremely elusive target for Wilder.

Wilder doesn’t fight like Foreman did.

Why would Ali have employed the rope a dope?
