What if DLH said he didn't want Floyd after all and signed a fight with Cotto? Knowing as how Floyd is completely banking on this fight, what would he do if plan A (DLH) and plan b (Cotto) were no longer there for the taking? I was just thinking this after the Floyd crap about uncle training Forbes.

Hatton, people bought into Mayweather wanting to fight Hatton because Hatton disrespected him.... **** Margarito was doing it for years, but there was no fight.

Mayweather saw, in Hatton a decent payday with an undefeated fighter, with a large fanbase and a pretty easy nights work.

Mayweather should retire or fight Cotto, 1 and 2 in the division.

Lately, Mayweather reminds me of some guys I knew in high school. They'd act tough and threatening at the smaller, younger, kids, but against the really rough guys they'd have a whole different level of tolerence.
Mayweather ignores the tough talk and challenges of the fighters that potenially might provide harder fights, and just wants to get "outraged" about the guys he knows he can beat .Who the hell would want to see a Hatton rematch, except for the most extream jockswingers who'd salivate over watching Floyd beat up a girl scout?

You said it, Hatton was an easy choice because he was beaten by Collazo (Watch that fight if someone disagrees) and it got Mayrunner out of fighting Cotto or ANY top ten WelterWeight.

And where judah and baldomir not top 10 welterweights, and while were on the subject how many of the current top 10 could have beaten DLH last may or could beat him now?

Mayweather has to fight 1 guy at welter and thats cotto, no one else is essential

He should retire if his heart isnt into fighting no more. I am not saying it isnt, because he comesinto every fight in **** hot condition and he always performs great. But, with all the money he has made and his "rap" career, promoting and wrestling does he really want to fight when he doesnt need to?

Also he keeps talking of retireing and whether he is bluffing or not a fighter shouldnt be talking like that. There are great fights out there for Mayweather not just De la Hoya.

Funny these same people saying Hatton was an easy fight for PBF were the same ones who picked Hatton to beat PBF.:-(

I agree, same here with Hatton. I didn't expect him to win but wanted him to because he was such an underdog in the fight. I wrote this thread cuz as much as people hate on DLH I see Mayweather as so much worse in his greed. Mayweather, unlike DLH, is in his prime and is holding up the welterweight division much more than DLH as he is much more relevant. Also, it would be funny if the big payday went to Cotto who definately deserves it much more than Floyd. Just rewatched the Cotto/Judah fight and realized what a nightmare Cotto would be for Floyd and why is so quiet although Cotto has called him out.

To tell you the truth I think Mayweather would chose Hatton before Cotto if he wasn't fighting DLH.
