Froch is building a decent resume in recent years. Where is he in regards to Calzaghe's ending record of 46-0, and can he surpass Joe's legacy?

Despite the fact that Calzaghe is a favorite of mine, his resume was pretty much garbage. I think Froch surpasses him with a win over Ward or Bute.

As for total quality of opposition, I think Froch already has Calzaghe beat by a mile.

Quality of Opposition i think Froch is ahead of Joe. I mean is hard to give Joe full credit where everyone is smacking jones around. He beat a shell of Jones. I had Bhop fight a draw for bhop clearly won 5 rounds and scored a kd, hence the SD. His only great win was against Kessler.

He has to beat Ward, also i think he needs to beat Kessler in a rematch and then maybe beat a fighter like Bute,Hopkins,Dawson, someone like that and he will have passed Calzaghe,i dont see him doing that though,i think he would beat Kessler in a rematch,im 50-50 on the Ward fight but i still think B hop would beat him..

Not to be a dick, but that would be 114-113 for Calz.

    A question for everyone:

Can Froch's resume as it is now get worse?

wait... are you saying he has a bad resume? Don't understand the question. He obviously has a pretty ****ing good list of opponents to this point, and to be honest, I think his resume is already ahead of Calzaghe's.

Its all subjective. No matter what Froch goes on to achieve from here on out the Calzaghe fans will always bring up Kessler. Joe beat him. Carl didn't. What i will say though is that no british fighter, including Calzaghe, has faced the level of fighter that Froch has one after the other since the Pascal fight. Would Joe of beaten them too ? Maybe, but he wasn't afforded the opportunity. Both fighters resume's are excellent and it is a bit disrespectul to say 1 is better than the other. Both stand alone on merit.

I'm saying what if the guys Froch has beaten lose more fights. Will these defeats affect Froch's resume? How will it look if Dirrell comes back and loses several times?

    For example:

When Calzaghe fought Sheika he was a legitimate and dangerous opponent. He had only lost once and had just beaten Glen Johnson. 11 years later Sheika never fulfilled his potential and it detracts form Joe's resume. It looks as if Joe 'cherry-picked' any easy opponent when this is not the case.

He lost to Kessler. With a bad eye..... Win a kessler rematch. and beat Ward and Bute.

Id get it if he would get annihilated by nobodies but i highly doubt that happens.
He defended his Commonwealth title seven times. Neat Pascal in a heck f a fight. Then in his first defence took on Jermain Taylor. Not many pick a former champ in their first defense. After Taylor it was Dirrell(Thought Froch lost that one). Then he beat(in my eyes) Kessler and completely schooled Abraham who failed to learn anything. After Kessler he beat Johnson.
    He has a good resume.

You are Wrong.. So are all of you!

The only way Froch will pass Calzaghe is by for once, dominate 1 opponement!

Did he dominate Pascal? No! Would Calz YES!
Did he dominate Jermain? No! Jermain actually won if he didnt gas last round! Calz would own, dominate, bitchslap Jermain!
Did he dominate Dirrell? NO! He lost that IMO
Did he dominate Kessler NO! He lost fair, and Calz would take a UD against a Prime Kessler!

What i guess im trying to say here is that Froch would never pass Calz.

I was talking about fighters Froch has beaten losing more fights.

Froch did not pick Jermain Taylor he was Carl's mandatory. But respect to Froch for going to his backyard.

How good does the AA win look after Ward beat him as well?
