Okay, but there are enough knuckleheads floating around that probably do think it's literally impossible that Pavlik can lose at middleweight period, let alone to a sizable underdog...statements like that, even in dry jest, only serve to encourage their fervor.

I'm not one of these guys that thinks Pavlik's unbeatable. I picked Hopkins to beat him, I'd pick Abraham to beat him at 160, though that's pretty much 50/50.

I know he would try to rebuild himself back up Tommy. However if it shows that Pavlik was affected by the Hopkins loss and then Rubio takes advantage of it and succeds it would be very hard for him to get back on track.

if he didn't take an immediate rematch AA would get to MAR and KTFO him.

then KP would probally have to work his way back up to a title shot.

True, as satisfying as Rubio upsetting the apple cart would be, I'd much rather Abraham get his crack at Pavlik in '09. :deal

although it was a schooling he did not recieve a seveer beating ALA Calzaghe vs Lacy. he should be fine and looking to build his confidence with this defence it will end in round 8 with a body shot then a combo to the head

Immediate rematch.....if he loses again....he moves up to 168.

what i think will happen: Pav by KO, unifies then moves up.

168 is hardly a safe haven for KP. That's out of the frying pan and into the piranha tank. :yep

Obviously a rematch clause would kick in. I've watched Rubio's last fight at least 3 times now. Kelly won't make the mistake of entering the ring if he isn't 100% so I wouldn't be surprised if Rubio makes Lockett look better. I'd dead serious about that. I could be dead wrong also, but I don't think so.

Rubio has a puncher's chance. If Pavlik got stopped, he would be utterly demoralized. He'd exercise the rematch clause, but I don't think he'd be the same fighter again.

I'm gonna be seated six chairs from the ring in the Chevy Centre, and depending on the circumstances of a possible Pavlik loss, it may be like the aftermath of the Bowe/Gollota. Every man for himself!:shock::shock:

Just bull shittin', but damn if Rubio isn't walkin' into the lions den. He has balls like a Hermit Squirrell, that's for sure.

If Rubio beats Pavlik, I'll never watch Pavlik fight again & I'll give him hell for the rest of his career.

If Rubio beats Pavlik, I will eagerly anticipate Pavlik's ESPN gatekeeper career. :good
