all the major tv networks throughout the world boycotted televising fights involving alphabet titles and only focused on one title the ring championship ??? for me it would be the only real way to save boxing and bring us back to the glory days cause the money in boxing comes from tv deals thats why every fighter wants to headline on the big networks. so if every network refused to show these fights then the fighters wouldnt waste there time with these abc gangsta's. and sure there would be less money for the fighters over all but so what ? half of these alphabet titlists dont deserve the money they get anyway there just scaming the public. boxing is a sport which people compete against each other so just like any sport only the best deserve to reep all the rewards and benefits and i think if there was only one title per division then we would all know who really is the best and who deserves the big money. its all up to the tv networks to save this sport only they hav the power to do it.
Unfortunately in this greedy world we live in the few people who can make a difference would rather line their pockets than something as minor as save the state of boxing
A more likely scenario (that is, it is still NEVER going to happen) is that fighters simply decide not to pay the sanctioning fees for the alphabelts.
