I saw a documentary where AJ said when he went down against Wlad he said to himself it`s been a great journey but now it comes to an end, does that mean he would have retired or could he have come back?

I doubt that he was thinking through his career options in that split second.

I think that what he is saying, is that he nearly didn't make the count.

Either way, I am sure that he would have talked himself back into the ring, and gone on to significant success.

Hard to say, since the sort of person that gets up responds differently to losses than someone who doesn't. Maybe just say he was totally sparked, in which case that'd mean he has some degree of known chin vulnerability. Given his popularity I couldn't see him not trying again, but it would be a big hit to his confidence, and I don't think he could pull off a more Wlad-esque defensive style.

Any number of things could've happened really.

Depends if it is in a person to come back, sometimes a loss ruins a career. Vlad himself had a few slippery slides, Brewster & Sanders but he came back with some tough battles against Peter and that win gave him the confidence in himself because he got off the floor and rocked Peter late in the fight. Joshua had a great win over an experience fit champion & both fought like warriors. Vlad was old but experienced and it was one of his best efforts & Joshua met him head to head. Great fight and a confidence builder for Joshua but he should not sleep on Parker, he needs to use his head because Im thinking both men will rise to the level so much money ahead for the Victor

Impossible to know for sure, people respond differently to adversity. Some like MAB, Hopkins, Pacquiao, took those early losses and used them to push themselves to another level. Others like Lacy, Hamed, etc imploded. Sometimes the loss takes a while to recover from, look at Foreman, after his 2nd loss to Young he quit and became a preacher but then came back and performed a Miracle at 45.

Anthony knew that was probably going to be the biggest fight of his life or atleast what he would be remembered most for, there was alot on the line, either wladamir returns to dominate boxing or Anthony would be considered the greatest current fighter on earth.

Think about povetkin, highly regarded guy right? But if he beat wlad and wasn' busted for roids he would be regarded as high or higher than joshua. But poor povetkin fell victim to wlads powerful hugs, he was just too short to stop them.

I think Joshua Parker would of been the next fight. Hearn would of wanted a big fight to keep the hype alive and a chance to regain the world title.

    Or a immediate rematch.

Joshua doesn't take the fight in the first place if he's ready to quit if he loses..lol

Klitchko goes on to fight Wilder...unifies becomes undisputed and then maybe fight Joshua again or retires on top.

Joshua slowly builds his career back up either way. People this era have a strange outlook this era...they really do...lol

I think he meant the crest of the wave he had been riding. He has always said he doesnt expect to go through his career unbeaten and most great heavies through history lost and came back. He would of lost, accepted it, studied it, learned from it and come back stronger and would have to start again in trying to collect all those belts.
