I'm curious, what do you think the effect of being "shot" is? You say shot Mosley like he became unprofessionally weak and slow.. I'm sure even a old man can still punch hard if he's still a pro puncher.. Next you'll say oh Maidana was a cherry pick so his punches don't count...

 

Look at Mosely's position. He wasn't poised to take the shot. Floyd is 99% of the time in a stance where his legs will support him if he gets hit clean. And he almost always moves his head in a manner to take power off the shot.

 

What would have happened if several fighters got caught flush like Mayweather did when Maidana countered his pull counter in round 3 of their second fight? That was an impressive shot he took, if it happened halfway through the round I believe he would have had to take a knee.

 

That punch wasn't that hard anyway, it was more a case of Mosley being off balance. If Pac caught Floyd with the same shot, and Floyd was off balance exactly like Shane was, I would expect a similar flash knockdown.

I don't see that shot hurting Floyd more than Maidana's counter in fight 2, that shot was ****ing heavy, it shook Floyd to his bones, luckily it was right at the bell, even though May's chin hasn't been tested as much as people would like, when it has, it's shown to be pretty solid. That shot surprised Mosley more than anything, it wasn't a devastating punch but it was fast and caught him off guard, I think Mayweather would take it, be stunned for a while, he is simply much better at recovering on the fly because that is inbuilt in his DNA, I don't think he goes down from it.

Oh yeah let's not forget Mayweather couldn't even be knocked down by two devastating bombs from Mosley himself, flush shots... he has been knocked down (glove legit brushed the canvas) by Judah on a flash counter of course but we've seen Maidana land the perfect shot and he was rocked heavily and potentially would have had to take a knee if it were mid-round but a respectable handling of such a shot. We saw Mosley absolutely crack him hard as anyone could hope to see him hit and he ****ing walks toward him toward the end of the round and annihilates him thereafter.
