What would Haye benefit from Lennox training him?

This would be a great promotion for the fight.

Imagine Lennox saying if Vitali defeats Haye, he will give Vitali the rematch he deserved.

If Lennox wants to help a fellow brit or just to help a dying division or knok the klits of their pedestal then why does he not invest his time to an up and comer/star of the future like Joshua whos fighting at the olympics who is as big as the klits, but can also box. His my tip for big things and manny steward lennox's old coach tips him as well.

 

I think Lewis best attribute is his willingness to accept his own weaknesses. Haye refuses to admit he's afraid of being KOd. He doesn't know what it's like to have the lights completely turned off. He's been on the threshold, but never been flat laid out like Lennox has.

That said, Lennox, rather than jumping right into Klitschko film should instead go straight away into Rahman and McCall 1 film. Show Haye that being laid out aint the end all of a fighter.

Then, show David how to use his 6'4 inch frame. Haye trims down to 215-220. He would make an excellent big man if he'd just not worry so much about using the back pedal. Bulk up a bit, protect your chin, but don't hide it. Beat these guys to the punch rather than poke em off the backfoot or potshotting them.

When Haye fought smaller guys he'd take some of these risks, but he seems unwilling to risk anything in the showing against Wlad and Valuev, and that would be a recipe for loss vs Vitali and we all pretty much know this.

He could convince Haye to take a couple tuneups first. Get his confidence back and continue towards building his own legacy. Take the Fury or Price fight and win the Commonwealth title. Take a fight against Ustinov or Dimitrenko or Wach. Fight these bigger guys while coming forward. He'd likely KO Price and Fury and Dimitrenko while not entirely risking his own beard in the process. Ustinov is a relatively unknown quality, but throwing his name onto David's resume would be a huge confidence builder going into a fight with Vitali, especially if he is able to take some big shots and win by KO himself.

Lewis was not able to deal with Vitali's style. Haye and Lewis were completely different fighters. They can't replicate eash others styles.

 

Haye could ask Lennox to drop a couple of straight right hands on him to train Haye's chin. Maybe that would make Haye reconsider his decision to call off his retirement.

 

I dont think Lennox should train him but definitely should be giving him plenty advices!

Y'all are missing what could be the biggest advantage of such a union. LL has the size to show Haye how to deal with a larger man. Haye needs to learn how to fight like a small man to beat a big man. Unfortunately no one has ever taught him proper head movement, how to close the gap and how to cut off the ring. He needs to learn how to deal with a big man who clinches and leans because they cannot fight on the inside. I think LL could be a huge asset.

 

Actually I'm sure Lennox has forgotten more about boxing than Haye could ever hope to learn, so stfu ******
