Filip has a lot of momentum going right now. Once again. Though this time, in his next big fight… he’s not making the same mistake he made against dubois. Filip will not come in overconfident like he did in that fight. Plus Abel Sanchez seems like a really good fit. I’d favor him against either one.
Hrgovic is extremely average and would box a tight match with the steady eddy that is Paint Dry Parker and he would lose against Kabayel, who is hardly some great himself, but I have a feeling Kabayel would be too smart for him and figure him out.
Kabayel beats Hrgovic 8 out of 10 times Hrgovic has a good chance against Parker and it would not surprise me at all if Hrgovic won
I hope one of these fights happen. Hrgovic would be competitive against either. Let's not forget, Parker avoided him when offered a IBF final eliminator several years ago.
Side note, Hrgovic did look pretty good last night, and proved he’s got the same combo of chin and recovery as Holyfield had. That barrage he took from Adeleye without going down, then somehow came out next round like nothing had happened, that was impressive. anyway, Hrgovic’s stamina was still an issue. If he’s serious, he needs a world class conditioning coach and everything possible to help. Go train at a site at 7k altitude, do insane HIIT daily, whatever it takes. Hrgovic was so much better in the first half of that fight than the second half. First half? He’d absolutely be competitive with Parker. He looked great before he started tiring.
Parker would suit Hrgovic a lot better than Kabayel would. With Hrgovic's suspect stamina issues plus his footwork isn't great - Kabayel would chop his body down. Hrgovic could possibly outbox Parker though but he would struggle a fair bit late in the fight especially if he is almost always going to be cut and Parker is a proper 12 rounder that can adapt well.
I think Kabayel could be one of the only Heavyweights to stop Hrgovic. Yes Hrgovic has a good chin but Kabayel is a very good body puncher with a high workrate. I'm not sure if Hrgovic could stand up to 12 rounds of Kabayel's body punching and workrate.
Absolutely no chance against Parker - he wouldn't be able to stop him by a long way, and he wouldn't stand a chance on points thanks to his awful gas tank... At best, he goes 50/50 until he gasses - so he's 3/3 after 6, and then loses almost all of the remaining rounds to lose wide on the final cards. Against Kabayel... I don't think he stops Agit either, and might do a bit better on cards early than against Parker, but still loses - Kabayel would be more likely to get to him on cuts, but otherwise the bodywork sees him gas even earlier than usual and the decision goes wide. I suspect he could fight both 3 times each and not beat them - he's just not got the tools against contenders who aren't packing glass or a ridiculously bad gas tank, and Parker and Kabayel don't tick either of those boxes. Gatekeeper Hrgovic doesn't keep either of them out - they're both marching through that gate comfortably.
