First of all we all know Floyd is the best defensive technician our Era.. Also, to some the best of our Boxer of our Era. Now I thought of possible fights Mayweather will win in order to seal his Legacy. In this exact order:

    1. Manny pacquiao - (UD or TKO 10th round for Floyd)

    2. Amir Khan- WBA Super and IBF Light Welterweight Champion.( UD or TKO 7th round for Floyd)

    3. Sergio Martinez - Harder fight than pacquiao in my opinion...
    ( UD for Floyd)

    4. Saúl Álvarez -Not great but undefeated &currently WBC Light Middleweight champion
    (TKO 5th- 7th round)

    5. Julio César Chávez, Jr - Undeafeated & d the current WBC Middleweight Champion ( Mayweather wins by TKO- 6TH-8TH ROUND)

All these would be huge PPV fights for Floyd with maybe the exception of Sergio Martinez. Saul Alvarez & Juli Cesar Chavez maybe not that great but they hold titles... Knowing Mayweather I could see him moving up in weight class to fight them for that Green. So if Floyd was to fight all of them & WIN. He woud be a ten-division world champion, where he has won nine world titles, as well as the lineal championship in Four different weight classes. With a resume like that you have no choice but to bow down.

Honestly if he embarrassed pacquiao I would consider it. Aside from that their is only really amir khan or Sergio out there.

The only issue with me is his resume. If he had bothered to fight Tszyu, Margarito, Cotto, Williams, a younger Mosley and Pacquiao by now, we may already consider him that. But his resume is weak, this simply cannot be denied. He has ducked and cherrypicked for the majority of his career. In order to consider him greater than Pacquiao, Jones Jr and Hopkins now, I'd need to see him beat both Pacquiao and Martinez. One would not be enough. His resume since 2002 is pretty feeble, considering his position within the sport.

Ultimately, the guy has not beaten one single prime/near-prime HOF-class fighter in his life. Pacquiao has beaten two (Barrera in '03, 2nd Marquez fight), Jones Jr has beaten at least one (Toney in '94), and Hopkins has beaten one (Trinidad in '01).

He is the most skilled fighter of this era.

Nothing he can do from here on will make him be the most loved/admired/respected boxer of this era.

I dont think he has to go all the way up to Middleweight.

Beats Pacquiao, Martinez, Khan and hes done enough for me to be considered right up there in the ATG's

We can say he probably is, but he needs Pac to cement that, and Khan would be good on his resume to, and i think Floyd beats them both via UD.

If he would beat Pac, Khan and Martinez at 158 he would be top 15 ATG, but i just dont think he would beat Sergio at 158.

Making Martinez look bad before stopping him should do it.

ughh would people stop with the Cotto, Margarito thing? sheesh it should be painfully clear that bob was not going to let Mayweather fight either one of those guys much like he is not going to let Mayweather fight pac now.

I'd say beating decisively prime Pacman few years ago, fighting at higher frequency not always with big names but successfully defending title against contenders. Without the latter he is always to me like some periodical wonder- he happens from time to time looks great and then disappears and that is not enough to be the legacy that would be appreciated by everyone.

Right now he is the p4p king but doesn't deserve to be the best of an era. Tobe such one you need to bring a new era for boxing, give something special to the sport

I suppose that's why he offered Mayweather $9m to fight Margarito in 2006 or 2007.
