What would Lewis have done if he was in Wlad's shoes last night?

He would've double jabbed to position himself to unleash his right hand. I believed he would've also stepped inside and bang Fury's body.

    Lewis is overrated.
People talk as if he was the greatest of the great but he really wasn't at all.
He was good, but historically Wlad ranks alongside him anyway.
And Fury at 25-0, age 27, has a decent chance to outrank both of them. He may not look much but he gets the job done.

More. He would have fired off way more shots. So would have Vitali.

This match-up problem is particularly pronounced for Wlad (Fury-Wlad) because he's the supreme robot.

Lennox and Vitali have more fight in them... more of a fighting mentality.

Lewis has more fire and was more complete than wlad he would have gone after Tyson and tried to knock him out.

Good question. I think prime Lewis probably struggles with, but eventually figures out and beats Fury. (Obviously, 48 year old or whatever current Lewis loses to Tyson).

On the broader point, though, I was thinking to myself that this kind of settles the question in my mind about who would win h2h against Lewis and Wlad. I had been leaning Wlad. Wlad is more consistent that Lewis. His strengths are largely better than Lewis's strengths (slightly bigger, slightly more power). But Lewis, like Vitali, is more resourceful in a fight and a more natural fighter than Wlad. I still think Lewis and Vitali could meet 10 times and get 10 completely different results. But at this point, I think that Lewis's resourcefulness would win out and prime Lewis would probably consistently beat prime Wlad.

Yeah, I didn't read this before my post but its much the same.

No disrespect to Wlad, for him to have achieved all he achieved despite not being the natural fighter than Vitali or Lewis were is a credit to his insane will power.

Lewis was retired already at Wlad's current age.
Lewis had 44 fights total in his 14 year career.
Wlad was fighting his 68th fight last night, in his 19 year career.
Lewis never managed 11 year winning running, he never went that long without getting sparked by a single punch from someone.

    Lewis wouldn't have done sh!t.

Not a Lennox Lewis fan by any means but I could never see him knowing he was behind in a fight, casually except a points loss the way Wlad did. Wlad was comfortable to lose on points if it didn't mean getting knocked out again. Zero sense of urgency. Lewis would've gritted down on his mouthpiece and gone after Fury.
