    When Mayweather was 23.

    Discuss.

Faster win? Go to the cards? More impressive win?

With the game plan Demarco used... he would beat Demarco down Gatti style and prolly doesn't even get hit over double digits...

Use his legs, stay on the outside, win a technical decision. Mayweather doesn't fight tall southpaws though, so it wouldn't happen.

Biggest myth about Mayweather is that he only uses the shoulder roll, and runs.

Floyd inside game was much better than Broners at 130-135lb he can punch. If Floyd can finish Corrales off in 10, and ndou in 7 he would've stopped Demarco in those rounds. Mid to late tko. The only difference is that he get hit much less.

His inside game is not better than Broners.

    How do you figure?

Broner is almost impossible to hit clean on the inside. And Broner also fought a tall guy that can use a jab.

Has Mayweather ever fought a tall guy that could use a jab and uses his legs?

I suppose you could say Corrales, but Corrales doesn't box.

Broner has every punch in the book, and very good, clean, punching power.

Broner is also less risk averse than Mayweather. Mayweather wouldn't allow himself to get in that position in the first place.

This fight is a more accurate depiction. Mayweather would use his legs, and keep his distance.

I think Demarco would survive though and lose a wide decision, although a late stoppage would not be out of the question.

The fight will be almost identical. Their styles are just that similar. Those left hooks mayweather landed in that fight were amazing.
Demarco can't box and he doesn't have one punch KO power (Linares wasn't dropped as far as I remember). Therefore, mayweather would be aggressive and not be over cautious.

Did anyone else think that HBO (merchant in particular) were hinting at broner to be more aggressive with his style when they were referring to the Floyd comparisons and that eventually "he/you will have to pick your own style".
To me, it was them saying; you have Floyds skills, so if we were to have him again, you're spot on at the moment, we'd prefer you to try knocking people out more often.

Their styles are identical, but Mayweather has a more developed game, and is the better boxer from the outside.

He is also more risk averse. He would use his legs and try to pick Demarco apart.

When Demarco gets desperate, Mayweather will land combinations and then get out.

I suppose he could stay in the pocket, similiar to what he did against N'Dou, but I can see him using his legs more, and perhaps stopping Demarco late, unless Demarco decided to back off to survive.
